He is 65 and looks 75-80. Dr. Gundry is older and looks younger and healthier Dr Berg looks fantastic.
I think if a diet is superior it would show on skin and face.

If I understand your categories correctly, the non-gmo, whole soybean product soy curls would occupy your first category and be suitable for daily consumption. Does anyone know if Doctor Fuhrman has ever expressed an opinion on that product?

Kind of irrelevant but do black eyed peas also possess the nutritional properties that other kinds of beans do? They are just about the only bean that's exceptionally smooth to my stomach even if i eat them every day and the fact that my gut can tolerate them so much better than any other kind of bean i have tried so far makes me wonder if i do gain from them just as much as i would from eating other kinds of beans.

I discovered natto soybeans which are much smaller than normal soybeans. You can find them at Laura Soybeans. After soaking them overnight, there are no skins that come off. I cook them for 55 minutes in an Instant Pot and they turn out so creamy!

I've never tried tempeh and forget I have some edamame in the freezer, so thank you for the review on the more acceptable forms of soy. Great reminder to get some unprocessed soy in more regularly.

None of them are good - plants want to protect their babies (the seeds).

I recently switched from oat milk to organic soy milk on my oatmeal. I loved the taste and said this is my new go to. But it tore up my gut something awful. I had to stop ,feel better now. Disappointing, I read soy is good for you.

Purchased some organic dried soybeans and I’ve soaked/cooked a batch. I’m adding them to my salads. Much tastier and fulfilling than tofu. Glad I made the switch!!!

Would eating a reasonable serving (200 calories) of tofu for lunch everyday be too much soy/tofu for a nutritarian? (Assuming the diet also supplemented with a variety of beans in addition, such as in soups and salad).

I don’t hear people talk about cooked soybeans. Not bright green edamame. But you can buy soybeans (they are tan colored) and cook them like you do other beans. Wouldn’t that be a healthy alternative?

Very helpful info. Thx! Love marinating tofu in tamari and baking it in the oven. Just wondering if baking tofu in the oven will negatively impact (oxidize) the fats in it? Also noticed that tofu contains saturated fat (3%) - wondering if that's harmful or okay?
