RIMWORLD QUALITY OF LIFE MODS (TOP 10)

- Dubs Performance Analyzer
(these are the well known ones)

But in addition to those, these help:
- Compressed raid: reduce number of raiders, but make the remaining raiders stronger
- Destroy Item: large stockpiles are often a major killer of game performance. Being able to just destroy anything in the stockpile you don't need without faff like caravaning, pod launchers, fires or leaving stuff in water to deteriorate is really helpful.
- Vanilla Outposts Expanded: Prone to grabbing every colonist you can, and then don't want to kick out / kill any despite overcrowding turning your game into a slideshow? Send some to outposts! If you get real sad about someone not being present, you can bring them back!
- Rimsential: Homebound: Same reason as VOE but with less caravaning.

TIL that in vanilla rimworld there's a mood bar in the colonist's avatars 💀

For someone brand new to Rimworld, would you suggest installing some of these mods from the get-go or would you suggest playing the game vanilla first?

Don't use prepare carefully, it breaks saves. Use character editor, it's much better and also doesn't break saves.

Had these mods installed for years, absolutely necessary to have them in my opinion. <3
