For me the max settings still look outdated and cheap.
ОтветитьThere is just something cursed in seeing an FFXIV video with World of Warcraft music as background noise 😂
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!!!!
ОтветитьI find the DLSS version they include and TSCMAA cause a blur aura around things in motion similar to TAA. AMD FSR 100%, disable dynamic, with FXAA/Off is the same as the old graphics but FSR/DLSS can give a performance boost.
Neat trick you can do with Nvidia RTX or newer cards is replace the nvngx_dlss.dll in the XIV/game folder with a newer version to reduce motion blur caused by the DLSS anti-aliasing. You can force DLAA on with the third party configurator.
If you have performance headroom, then set DSR in the Nvidia control panel to a DL enabled super-resolution. DSR Smoothness is the sharpening filter with 100=0% and 0=100%, start with 50 and decrease if UI is blurry/increase if over sharpened. In-game set DLSS on, then full-screen at the higher-than-native DLDSR resolution (prob turn up the UI scale too) to render the game in a high-res buffer that then scales down to the monitor, with the performance hit mitigated by DL-DSR & DLSS parts. This can even gain performance from DLSS if you don't pick too high of a resolution. Seems a bit silly to render the game at lower than native then AI scale it to higher than native then scale back to normal, but it just works.
DLSS defaults to DLAA if you are above your frame rate target.
ОтветитьDLSS definitely seems to be working, just focus on some distant textures and notice the slight shimmering with FSR, now compare it with dlss (i tested 1440p) and notice how all the shimmering is gone.
Ответитьgreat video thank you
ОтветитьThank you for the in-depth one. Haven't played for 6 yrs and considering coming back for the graphics update.
Ответитьwhat resolution is he playing in?
ОтветитьThank you, Desperius! Since I definitely am not that much tech-savvy, videos like this help a LOT my good ol' PC to allow me to play things not completely ugly! 😅
ОтветитьDLSS verursacht in cutscenes bei anderen charakteren extreme stufen, kantenglättung ist da gleich null, daher bin ich aktuell auch für FSR
ОтветитьCan anyone help me? My anti aliasing option is greyed out.
ОтветитьThey should fix the box version black screen often it happens.
ОтветитьMeh, I just maxed everything out, RTX on. That explains why I've been enjoying the visuals more.
Ответитьread the note next to dlss vs fsr. it tells you that dlss handles the AA and the other options that grey out. it isnt broken.
ОтветитьWas on the moon while looking at this video and messing with Shadow Cascading just made shadows more than [x] distance away from me disappear, which is extremely disorienting seeing shadows just disappear only to show up when I get closer, especially for large structures and cliffs. It has to stay on for me lol
Ответитьwas just looking for this, thankyou! also, would you recommend/think that 4k resolution on a 4080 would be a good experience? ty
ОтветитьNeed better outro, "Keep loving Final Fantasy" bruh am I married to it now? You're making it sound like a goddamn commitment
Ответитьusing them since ARR
Ответитьwhat's the glam you are using here? looks amazing!
ОтветитьMy fps is at 40 and I hate it. There isn't any noticeable difference when doing the options you've shown when i do it
ОтветитьGreat guide, but useless for more than 60 fps, as more than 60fps (locked) means no boobs physics!
ОтветитьI play on PS5 and my game looks super grainy and blurry, any fix??
Ответить6 mins of a video trying to convince me the graphics update did anything other than make Gold material look nice. I feel like the first benchmark, characters looked the best, people complained as usual in every game, and they put out the second benchmark and the game literally looks the same before the DT update. The community is something else. I get things like Miqo teeth and stuff needed fixing but when they first showed off Au Ra horns in their first graphics update? It looked amazing, and now it looks like nothing changed. Theirs a lot I can list here about what I dislike about the graphics update. The most stand out stuff is skin textures, lips, eyes etc that was perfect in the first benchmark.
ОтветитьThe best option is DLSS with force DLAA using DLSS tweaks with an Nvidia and/or reshade sharpening filter. Makes foliage not look like shit, the game still looks fairly sharp as well
ОтветитьGreat video dude! My laptop and pc are running the game smooth now even in big cities!
Ответитьarent physics tied to fps? they didn't fix it yet don't they?
ОтветитьTSCMAA+Jitter beats TSCMAA. The image is slightly softer overall but it also flickers less. TSCMAA was actually designed for a camera with a lot of jitter (it was made for VR antialiasing).
ОтветитьDLSS isn't bugged, it's working as intended. When you have good performance, it runs DLAA--DLSS is handling antialiasing while running at native res. It results in the sharpest image. It also has a heavier performance impact than TSCMAA, which is to be expected.
Ответитьwhat about real time reflections?
Ответитьnice pc
Ответитьvery weird, for me DLSS is working fine and its a major improvement on the distant tree and bush texture flickering. I am playing on everything on maximum for the rest of the settings.
ОтветитьDoes anyone have shadow issues? I'm having an issue where everything is shadow'ed nicely but when i move it kind of flickers until i stand still again. happens especially when i'm in a dark area and try moving around. And its just constantly flickering.
ОтветитьDLSS also has DLAA which is why the AA options disable when using DLSS
Ответитьplease help me . the flashing in battle content cause me to get bad headaches . i have turned off all battle effects for my character and everyone else. but when a boss or enemy does some big flashy move it messes with my eyes too much. is there any setting where i can disable the effects of an enemy or boss?
ОтветитьDLSS also works as an anti-aliasing itself, so it overrides TSCMAA or whatever you wanna choose from that option. If you use DLSS, that's your anti-aliasing.
ОтветитьWhen i zoom out, my character and certain parts of the environment become blurry and pieces of gear on my character disappear. Does anyone know what would cause this and what the fix would be?
Ответитьidk my geforce experience is pretty spot on with this game, it's usually not even close on other games lol. If you lock your frames to 60 it wont push your gpu to its limits. could save you some life on that thing
ОтветитьI wish DLSS can be turn off manually.
Ответитьgame looks like ps3 game , just everything at max non new gpu cares about these settings
ОтветитьI'm gonna have to mess with so much of these settings on a gtx960....I've never dipped below 60fps before dawntrail and now I'm tanking to below 40
ОтветитьVery helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьGo to system config > other settings (. . .) > character and object quantity and set it lower if you want higher FPS in areas with lots of players/enemies, if your FPS is fine in instanced content but drops in open world and cities. You're probably CPU-bound, which is common in MMORPG's. This setting adjusts at what distance characters and some objects render for you.
ОтветитьIt's crazy you have like 160+fpss..
I have almost the exact settings you do; an i7 8700k and rtx 3090 ; I play at 1440p and I'm basically always at 60fps
put FSR to 99% your welcome :)
Ответитьcan u tell me what graphic cards should i get if i want to play in 4k 60 fps (after graphical updates)
ОтветитьSystem Configuration
Other Settings (. . . icon)
Character and Object Quantity
Set to minimum for BLAZING performance in cities, to maximum for immersion at a snail's pace. Normal is a nice compromise.
I want to try the game but idk if my fps gonna be good... I play wow really smoothly MHW kinda smoothly
ОтветитьAs some of people here in the comment pointed out:
The 3D Scaled Resolution Makes a Massive Difference in Sharpness.
Just put the Value to 99% instead of 100% and you will notice the difference very quickly.
Though, performance takes quite a hit with that.
