I wish drs would stop feeding women the lie that they are incapable of going into labor on their own and that medical induction is the only way. Your body IS CAPABLE. Sometimes you’re just not willing to give it the time it needs. Induction before 42 weeks is entirely unnecessary so why is it a routine topic of discussion the minute a woman approaches 40 weeks. And WHY ARE WE DOING CERVIX CHECKS when they have ZERO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE of predicting labor? Knowing dilation is in no way an indicator of when mom will go into labor and only introduces bacteria and loads of risks.
For the love mamas, you deserve better!

(And yes, this tip is a great one for opening pelvis and getting baby in optimal position)

Miles circuit!! My 3rd came precisely on my due date and fairly easily too, while the other 2 were 42+ weeks and 3 day back labor and induction respectively.

I work in a gym and do this daily to help with back pain

So story time for me...but when I was waiting to have my son I was a few days overdue and it all got rolling when my husband decided to massage my back with the Bob and Brad massager we have down by my lower back. My back bugs me and that's his way of showing love and care which is to massage and help alleviate the pain. My mucus plug went pop not even five minutes into the massage and I was a leaky faucet all up till showtime of when little man came into this world 😂 so it's a trick we plan to use for baby number 2 for sure

Will this not make the baby turn breech? I am 36w 4d and my doc says the baby is measuring 38w so I’m trying to get the baby to come out a little early (maybe 37w 5d or something) but the doc said yoga ball can make the baby turn and I don’t want that because the baby is currently in a perfect position

Yup- yoga ball for both my girls worked!

Always be careful when trying to self induce labor. It can often put baby in distress and cause meconium staining/ aspiration.

This is probably because this is the natural birthing position lol

Same! I was three days past due date and i wanted a full natural birth. I did this before bed and my water broke at 4:00am in my sleep and baby was born 8 hours later healthy and strong!

This did not work for me , I would do this everyday for 20-30 minutes and it did nothing only made me feel lots of pressure but baby didn’t come and I had to get induced , but then the induction failed so I had to come in 2 days later for another induction attempt and baby finally came 😅

I did this the day before my due date nonstop while changing to the baby, “come out”. My water broke that night!

It’s so funny seeing the stories and comments about how women were 1cm or closed then did a ten minute workout and went into labor🤣meanwhile I’ve tried every exercise in the book every natural remedy and still pregnant 😭lucky y’all

I did the figure 8 on the bouncy ball and plié’s at the counter! 4 hours later my water broke. Hooray!! It works!

Out of curiosity, is there an issue getting medically induced instead of your body going into labour on its own? Would there be any side effects to mom or the baby?

While in labor, if I'm put on my back, is it best to have my knees apart or more closer together? For the baby to come out easier

I had 4 days of painful induction. And something about the calcium in TUMS with the pitocin was what finally started active labor for me!
I still pushed 3 hours and ended up emergency c section. But Tums is a good thing to know!

I did all of that in the final weeks of pregnancy and my guy was still born 10 days late.

I’m doing it everyday and my baby still doesn’t want to go out by itself 😂

😂 just have sex before bedand leave his ahhmm in you and i GUARANTEE you'll be in labour waters broken when you woke up. Abd it speeds it up. I wasn't in any pain for the first 2 hours and felt down there and felt a head with hair half out. Thankfully the ambulance was a minute away and thr hospital was less than 3 minutes.. got through the door and baby shot out within moments of arriving. Didn't even have time to give nanes or anything 😂 i was only in pain barely 20 minutes 🤷‍♀️🤣 10 out of 10 was awesome and would 💯 recommend

I went 12 days past my due date. I did this from around halfway through the 37th week of my pregnancy.

It did absolutely NOTHING 😢😢 I had to be medically induced at around 41 +1 weeks

He arrived 2 days later.

Today I birthed my 6th. She was so stubborn in took since Thursday and they still had to induce it. All it took was a bumpy ride to start me in the process of not having to suffer waiting a few more days for my initial induction date. Good lord no more the continuing contractions are no joke

Who doesn’t know this? My dr told me to do this since I was expecting my first child. 😅 And I’ve done it with every kid to help and it works.

Yes!! This worked for me too. Apparently the motion causes the baby’s head to move against the cervix, and help it to thin and signal “baby time!”

Nothing worked for me and I tied everything 😅 didnt try the ball though. In hindsight I wish I just rested my body and stopped trying to desperately induce labour. My body wasn't having it

Just saw the video and I did this exactly at 39weeks and 5days! I was told to be induced a week after at 41weeks, and i got stressed with the idea. I went home and took the ball to relieve my stress, and did exactly the same movements she did. One hour after, my water broke! 😅😅

Every midwife everywhere would tell you to do this.
