Yo, I ditched the laptop and using my iPad Air 4 as a laptop replacement. Got Microsoft office, zoom, way better front-facing camera for zoom than some laptops out there, the stylus is good, touch screen which is actually enjoyable to use, and got an apple keyboard case. As a student you don't need many apps to run, iPad cannot fully replace a laptop but it's very close that sometimes it feels like the iPad is more enjoyable and convenient to use. Also, the apps are expected to crush less, you just don't worry about speed or multitasking, it works blazing fast, of course, you are not able to do much gaming, but I tried to run CyberPunk 2077 through Google Stadia with mouse, keyboard attached and it worked just fine, I was so focused on the game that I even forgot it was on the iPad because attaching keyboard, connecting mouse and putting it on the desk makes my brain believe it is a laptop with a touch screen on it. Had great experience watching the movies, tv shows and etc, the display is not bad and speakers are really crisp and loud, the battery life is good for the entire day without charging, I just charge it every night. Just speaking from my own experience, but everyone has different needs in terms of how they use a laptop and what they use it for.

16 ram or more is for gamers, IT students, graphics etc, for ordinary use 8is more than enough and to be fair 4will do. It's more like gadget wishlist than reasonable advice on student laptops.

If your going to name it best laptops 2020 then have a list of some of your favorites and do a side by side review not yea look for this this and this. This video was very misleading and not recommended

That's what i found to be in the budget category so far. They should be around 700$.

Surface Pro 4-7, Hp Elite x2, surface book 1-3, Envy x360, Asus zenbook flip, Lenovo ideapad 5 flex. These are best for students and cheaper.
