and there is not even one planet in existance,.. not even one.. even earth is not a planet.. but there is something genetic that stops people from loving and accepting the truth .

@lexfridman As Adam mentions, it’s crazy geologist, geochemist and biologist aren’t involved in this conversation.

It a geo 101 fact that the earth has evolved as a natural system in equilibrium.

Sad to see that this very smart guy spends so much energy in this, whereas the last 2 congressional hearings on UAPs are informing us that the US military has kept everyone in the dark regarding crash retrievals of UFO ships here on Earth... Science will have to be angry about this coverup.

Why don't aliens make contact with us? Answer: Why don't you kneel down on an ant hill and start describing astrophysics to them? We are so primitive, we're barely worth the time to examine. These exobeings figured out how to live in a perfectly circular, sustainable way, which is the only way an organism can survive technological development long enough to crack interstellar travel, so they don't need to colonize. They don't need anything we have, maybe a little hydrogen and oxygen from one of our oceans. And that's why I think humans are an evolutionary failure. We developed technology, but we didn't evolve spiritually, morally, empathetically. Our technological development is growing exponentially, but we can't even get over racism, greed, lying, cheating, stealing, bigotry, anger, hate, violence, materialistic desire... We have a linear economy, extract, consume, discard, repeat, but we live on a sphere. Of course, a perfectly circular economy, with constraints on population, (reduction by factor of 8) would put an end to capitalism, since everyone would already have everything they need.

This is a white man trying very hard to understand something while appearing to completely understand something that we have NOT FIGURED OUT YET.

I know, disappointing. However, the interest and energy is there which we all know will eventually translate into progress.

C'mon Adam you're really close!

10 Billion Trillion Habitable Zone Planets is on the very conservative side. Because Ice Shell Moons which could harbor Life far more often (Around Stars with Several Billion Year plus lifespans) outnumber Habitable Zone Planets by perhaps, a Quintillion Trillion times 😳.

As a gambler that pessimists line really hit hard; there’s a 1/
10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 in chance that we were the only planet that has intelligent life. That’s worse odds than surviving 5 different lightning strikes in a single year 😂😂

Vigorous Plate Tectonics (which is my favorite Geological Subject) is thought to be easier to achieve on Super Earths. Supercharging Multicellular Life possibly far sooner than our less Habitable small terrestrial Planet hindered by long, Billion year plus Frozen Snowball Archaen Eons. We need to find the Super Habitable Worlds.

Like George Carlin once said "the Earth isn't going anywhere. It can make a simple adjustment with a Supervolcanic Eruption immediately followed by a Black Death Level Pandemic to reestablish it's Equilibrium. By reducing us to a few thousand or eliminating our species all together. Allowing the next one to take our place. Then repeat it again until it finds one to live in Autopoisis with this Planet!"

I disagree in some sense about experience. It's nit rooted in Intrinisic truth but only personal belief system. If I see purple elephants should all accept that as personal experience? Newton is prime example. His experience is that the apple fell. UT then through science came to understand that the apple and earth both have mass and therfore gravity and are gravitated towards each other and not just one object to another. So he came to realize his experience wasn't really correct even if it's what he "experienced"
