I’ve been doing HIIT (for 30 min) twice per week now for ~2 years (on the ‘off days’ when I am not doing strength training). It was the missing ingredient for me. Before that, I was still doing the weight/strength training but my cardio on off-days was ‘pot luck’ (indoor cycling, rowing, etc.). I wasn’t stagnant or anything, but once I started doing HIIT, my fitness (and physique) really just exploded. To be completely honest, I still HATE it 😂 - but I never skip. I HIGHLY recommend incorporating into a balanced fitness routine.

What I do is I hold a 15 pound dumbbell and overhead press it while jumping at full intensity, think of it like weighted skipping. I do 45 second intervals with 15 second rest and I do it for 1 hour a day, I break it up into 30 minute segments so I don't gas out lol

It's easier to stay to jog on treadmill for 10 mins than doing hiit on the same time. Depending on your exercises, hiit exercises just hit your whole body.

I’ve always been active since I was 13. First heard of HIIT around my mid twenties but sadly, didn’t get into it until about a few months ago.. at the age of 32. I wish I would’ve started sooner! But it’s never too late I suppose.

I've been doing HIIT religiously for the past two weeks. IT WERKS and it's FUN. I've been combining HIIT with weight circuit training, one day hiit, next day weights, etc and eating a clean diet. I can already see my abs starting to reappear. Haven't had a washboard since I was 16, now at 29 I'm getting it back.
HIIT is the $hit.

If you can recover in 30 secs your not doing HIIT, you are doing interval training. You can't expect to recover in 30 seconds or a couple of minutes if you're doing HIIT since you give 100% on the initial parts.

To anybody who'll debate me on this, reseaerch interval training first.

Are you a good person? Well God gave us the ten commandments as the standard of righteousness. How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever stolen anything even if the value was small? Have you ever looked at anyone with lust (God considers that to be adultery in the heart). If you’ve done these things God sees you as a liar, a thief, and an adulterer at heart. God is perfectly Just, Good, and Holy. His justice means hell for those who are guilty. A lot of people think they are “good people” but good deeds can never make you right with God. Would a good judge let a murderer go because they did good things? Of course not, that judge would be corrupt. And since God is good, He must punish all evil. But God made a way for us terrible sinners to be reconciled to Him and save us from His wrath. He became human in the person of Jesus Christ. He died on the cross taking our punishment on Himself, dying, and rising from the dead. He paid the debt we owed because of our sin! God commands everyone to repent and trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Have a wonderful day!

Hello!

You mentioned that weights and HIIT are meant to be done separately. Would it be possible to use lower weights with higher intensity, or will I end up breaking something if I do so?

Thanks for the informative, and easy-to-digest video!

On point 7, doesnt this contradict commonly accepted energy consumption mechanisms at different heart rates? I.e. higher hear rate zones consume readily available sugars instead of fat? This could mean that lower intensity cardio would burn more fat than HIIT, no?
