Peacekeepers themselves aren't a problem. Theyre a movement exotic that restricts you to using one weapon type. If they went away in the morning, the sandbox would be the exact same.

So long as the "anything goes" mentality continues to be perpetuated within the destiny community, we will continue to see META's be overused because of a lack of self-restraint and discipline within this portion of the destiny community with this mentality. Individual's that have grown tired of this portion of the community will do one of two things become vengeful and use the tactics and weapons used against them in order to create a treat others how you want to be treated kind of scenario of sorts and the second thing they will do is leave since the scenario isn't worth the effort put in their eyes. The problem as it currently stands is not the fact that their is a meta and people abusing it, but the fact that we don't have a large enough community that champions the uses of less efficient methods and weapons in order to foster the development of skill and mastery that would allow for more diverse loadouts and play styles. The reason why the pvp and, in my opinion, the pve communities are in such a bad state is a result of the communities valuing meta and efficient strategies over skill and mastery as a result of the risk to reward ratio within the game.
