So this happened to my 2007 the other day. Exact same issue, all the light etc. I ran a fuses cable from the battery to the starter motet and the car started. I tested the voltage from the started to the battery and all seemed ok. The issue was that the BCM (body control module) which is located to the left just under the glove compartment with a blue clip had become disconnected. This is probably the root cause. Check your passenger footwell connections. The BCM is located on the door side under the glove compartment.

One morning my S-Max was almost "dead" - turning egnition key on, the "blinkers" in the instrument cluster was flashing fast, nothing else. The battery was almost drained, so I recharged it. After that the instrument cluster behaved normal (lights etc.), but when turning the ignition key nothing happens (starter did not turn). I noticed that the interior lights did not work and neither did the power windows. This pointed me in the direction of the BCM (located below the glove box). Common BCM problems cause "no start", "electrical systems not behaving normal", "immobilizer not working correct", "battery drain" as systems are not shut down properly after driving. I feared that I had to replace the BCM (it is expensive) - but got the thought that it could be a soldering problem (lose soldering or similar due to maybe vibrations) as is often the case with faulty instrument clusters in Fords from these years. My S-Max is a 2008 petrol. I took the BCM out and opened it. There are two print plates inside. What I did was I soldered all the connections (two rows of a lot of "pins") between the two print plates. They are not soldered from the factory - just "pushed" together. I assembled it again and installed the BCM. Everything works again. Hope it can help someone out there.

First protocol would be get a tow or push and see if it bump starts, then get into fuses and key/ignition headaches once those things fail. If u can scan it... great, but bump start rules out starter and without any EML on dash I doubt there's any camshaft sensor causing it when it won't turn over. All good fun of u don't own it

For goodness sake test the basic! While someone activate the key check if power reach the starter and the starter solenoid. Battery connections and main plugs. Well and the battery itself Although I'm pretty sure the battery is innocent, Their connections probably not so much, in fact they're high placed on the list of suspects. ;-)

Forget all the BS I've read on the comments about cam sensor, etc. The engine would turn even without sensors. Clutch switch is another place to check. But start by the beginning! Meaning from the battery and downstream...

plug obd2 and scan for issues could be anything like bad clutch switch, immobilizer ... its not battery as lights come up, just check with a scan tool. guessing can cost money and frustration

I had same problem with my ford galaxy 2010. I took out the ignition switch out, took it open and cleaned all with alcohol. After that I did put new grease and put everything together. It worked fine after that. Be careful when you open it, small parts can pop out.

it is a camshaft position sensor. Just wipe off the dirt. It's on the valve cover

Check your voltage at the starter, or check your starter relay

Faulty ignition switch, its located just behind the area where you put your key in. Pretty easy to repair

Before you just start guessing I would first suggest scanning the car to see which, if any codes exist.
