I grabbed an RTX 3050 8GB from ze Bezos mafia for only $230 brand new. Asus twin fan model. So a year after this review the price got pretty good.

why is the rtx 3060 $1400 on amazon? I looked at literally any other place and its only $580, $625 at most

Im sorry but $320 for a 1second off your loading times is just a waste of money get a 970evo plus for $147 and when that game takes 11seconds to load just look at your wallet

The 3050 isn't a bad card. My daughter had one in her pc, but we recently switched it out for a 1080. One the couple of games we tested during the swap, they actually performed about the same.

On paper the 1080 is a faster card, but the 3050 does a good job with all of the constraints it has built in.

I have been using asus rtx 3050 for past 1 year with ryzen 5 3400g . It's not the best combination + my ram is little slow but I don't think it's a good card. It heats up very fast and not much of performance. It's just there and barely runs games.

i bought this card for 270 dollars last summer and it met my excpectations when i paired it with an i5-10400f. But now i would say that you can find cards with a bit better value if you do your research.

In Poland 3050 is priced nearly identical to rx 6600, which can compete even with 3060

Nice video as always. As Player in 1080p with 75fps monitor (I know it's rare) I went for a 3060ti that I believe it's one of the most eficient $/fps and can allow me to jump to 1440p at a decent fps. But for my wife just chose a 3050 with a nice good price (250$) and I believe it's the best if you want to go for 1080p WITH RAY TRACING (Of course there's cheaper alternatives w/o RT). What I'm not sure is about the CPU that will pair it...

All in all avoid the 3050 like the plague and get a 3060 with 12gb vram.

An entry level nvidia 3050 that runs at 1.78 GHZ, that's about as fast as an xbox series x.

the 3050 is comparable to a GTX 1070 yet the 3050 has Raytracing and is much cheaper!

I'm glad I don't buy this and went amd instead (Rx 6600) I got performance that's better than rtx 3060 with a price that's cheaper than rtx 3050.

I have one and it performs fine, it's not like for this budget you are trying to get an insane amount of FPS.
Just use V-sync to match the FPS of your monitor and that means that you get max FPS that you can see.

Great gpu. I get 90-100 fps on warzone. 140 on Fortnite and 80 on cyberpunk. All on high settings. Perfect card for the price.

I love my 3050

MSRP is great and all, however: if you pay even $230 for a 1660 Ti today, then you're overpaying. If you buy any 1660 ti that isn't bottom dollar, then your a sucker. If you want to pay a premium to get premium cooling on a legacy card, then you need to get your priorities straight.

Based on what I see: don't pay over 230 for EITHER of these cards, and buy the one that's cheapest. And that will likely be the 1660 ti. THAT card can be had for dirt cheap if ya know how to look and have a little patience.

And don't buy a 3050/2060 on the basis of Ray Tracing! WHY? Because it'll never beat the 1660 ti in performance in tests where its ray tracing is enabled.

In that respect, 3050/2060 barely deserve the RTX label.

But this is merely my opinion. Hehe. Listen to the experts here at LTT.

Always funny to see these comparisons between the 3050 and the 6500, when the 6600 is cheaper than the 3050 and mops the floor with it.

I just want to know if RTX 3050 OC 6GB can work without the extra power cord and if it performs nice enough on regular games (not VR) with a computer that only supports up to i7-3770K CPU with a max of 16GB and I already have a 80+ bronze 700 watt PSU ... thinking about upgrading to a downgraded 650 WATT platinum
