it's not fucking small in hong kong
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьWow, this gave me claustrophobia. Terrible design
Ответитьmy favourite of these ive seen yet, wow. dream apartment
ОтветитьThe comments-to-date are very interesting and illustrates how things seem odd depending on your background. 1) I know very affluent people when traveling must have a separate room for their luggage/clothes. This is more common than many realize. 2) The client is not refurbishing the apartment on a budget but wants this property to reflect their needs while in Hong Kong. Pretty much every ceiling panel to accessory appears custom $$$$. If you are a wealthy couple or single, this may be a city apartment and their second home may be elsewhere. He/she is not doing this renovation for maximum resale value but to meet their personal wants.
I have a 68 sq m apartment on the West Coast (California) and a 278 sq m permanent residence on the Eastern seaboard. I split my time between the two properties and they function quite differently. If I were wealthy, I would want the rooms I appreciate the most be bigger with the best views (others can be reduced in size). This is a high net worth customer.
amazing design
Ответитьamazing
ОтветитьThe client likes art, but the only art on a wall is the round light piece in the living room.
ОтветитьI👏👏👏👏👏👏👏BRAVO I LOVE IT ❤️
ОтветитьNot my style at all, and it does make the place look smaller...not livable l but makes a fun Airbnb or even gallery space
ОтветитьQuite unique build and design especially for a property in HK. I felt the wardrobe area is a waste, when it could have been opened up for additional living space even taking into consideration the supporting wall. I come away with an impression from the HK videos that there is a lot of 'baggage' and material possessions, and me wanting to link this to the occupants career/objectives. For the sqm in proportion to the amount of storage dedicated seems rather excessive, and it is not specific to this build but rather over HK. There are contradicting features such as in built cabinetry and not wanting to exhibit objets on display (e.g. kitchen, office area) as the aesthetic, yet basic items such as the kitchen towel roll is featured prominently
ОтветитьLove the details to thought
ОтветитьI’m not a fan ngl
ОтветитьWhat kinds of the material of the flooring of the living room? Pandomo flooring?
ОтветитьIt's interesting to me that the design looks independent from the architecture, forming a new layer of skin paralleled to the wall.
ОтветитьHaha
Special design
I can learn from this how to make a space look much smaller than it is.
This is exactly how I imagined my perfect apartment
ОтветитьGood concept for bachelors or singles. A room without a book is a body without a soul, thats the feeling. However, its ones individual choice and keeping that in mind its a very functional and practical unit.
ОтветитьI would be hella confused living in this space. Its cute though
ОтветитьAmazing!
Ответитьhow to tell us you have money but no taste without saying you have money but no taste.
ОтветитьDisgusting, cold and uggly
ОтветитьHe said the old two bedroom apt felt small bc of all the walls…so they redesigned to a studio apt full of partitions? What? Lol
Ответитьit's a nice design, although it's not my style, it feels more like a gallery than home. But it suits the client's style.
ОтветитьThis is amazing!
ОтветитьWhy i find this so creepy
ОтветитьThe interior design and colour combination seem living in a capsule hotel, not a home
Btw, 635 sqft in HK not a small apartment .My flat only 380 sqft but three persons living here🙃
So many haters 😂
ОтветитьConsider the Walk in closet which was big! Also they put everything in storages that's why it feels like it's smaller..it was interesting i liked it🤍
Ответитьit's too soulless. The minimalism approach mixed with the color tones used imo makes this apartment too cold. The only place that gives warmth and life is the closet/wardrobe.
ОтветитьWhat a complete waste of space. 635sqft is huge in Hong Kong. The architect got rid of two bedrooms and a bathroom to create a claustrophobic apartment with a sleeping booth in the sitting room. Bathrooms are a premium space in any home. To get rid of one bathroom and make the other bathroom into the sole bathroom to be used by both the home owner and visitors is awful.
The architect made it futuristic in appearance but it became less a home and more of a pretentious showpiece - which doesn't reflect well on either the planning of the architect or the taste of the owner.
Man, I wanted to see the balconies!
ОтветитьThe design looks so unpractical, especially those panel folding doors...its just not my style but maybe the owner love these
ОтветитьThis style is totally my vibe! Also, does anyone know what genre of music specifically I could search to get similar sounding tracks to the one that is in the video. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat! So simple …. Thanks
ОтветитьIt gives me indie game vibes
ОтветитьSí, se nota que son muy amigos.... Un gran mamarracho. Sólo se salva la cocina y el baño.
ОтветитьCan I please live here? I want those resin coffee table cubes.
ОтветитьThis flat actually looks like a pretty rad private Boeing.
ОтветитьI have read people don’t like the idea of turning two bed into studio. It will never make sense if you put the western ideology into this situation. American especially will try to add room whenever they plan to renovate, in the mindset of they can sell it in a higher price. I believe it is not the architect’s idea to down size. It is definitely what the owner wanted. And definitely whoever the owner is, they have way more financial capability than average population. That skylight alone costs 40k…. The whole walk in closet is already packed with stuff… that possibly a high priority for the owner….
ОтветитьI'm interested as t how such a major renovation can occur in a dense apartment block without disrupting neighbours. Also how did they get that couch in!?
Ответитьclever.
ОтветитьI was a bit shocked about the "dining area" maybe is because is Hong Kong and space is like a luxury, but 2 people dining only, wow...
ОтветитьThe design may seem cool as a project...but the initial layout, seemed like a good sized apartment, with more than usual number of windows ... quite perfect. The new layout robs the space and just closes the resident inside a closet. The overwhelming number of panels all around, closing an actual window in the bathroom to add an artificial skylight is, opening a closet to see the TV, or access the study .. this video triggered my claustrophobia.
Ответитьi prefer the 2 bedroom. even if it's small, it is still 2 br.
Partition is important. the all white wall looks so scary actually like you are in a hospital. Worst design in never too small so far, I love the kitchen area though
the curbed ceiling was so difficult to watch even in the video, I can't even imagine how irritating it would be for me to live there. Loved the kitchen and the bathroom though, but the ceiling in the living area makes the room feel so claustrophobic and the asymmetry it creates seems involuntary. Honestly, if the curbed ceiling (that is not found in any other areas except the living room) was not there I would have liked the proposal much more.
ОтветитьThis is what people in the 60s considered to be sci fi.
Ответитьthis size in Hong Kong is not a small apartment, a lot of Hong Kong people live in a "room" or "toilet" size apartment for whole family with 4-5 members.
ОтветитьLove it!!
ОтветитьTbh i find this stupid. They had a functional place with 60m2 and now they have wardrobes and a small space.
