What's interesting about this series, is that Jennifer Hale did the voices for Naomi Hunter and Emma Emmerich in the English dub, and that she made Christopher Randolph (the voice of Otacon) cry twice.

And there you have it. It was a pleasure watching your MGS journey and you did an awesome job editing hours of content! MGS hits different for me than other games because of it's social commentary and how it changed my mindset. MGS2's ending in particular strengthened my moral compass in life. There was even a CNN tv interview with a boy (he had MGS posters behind him) who's family are die hard Trump supporters and the dad was part of the capitol riot. The boy was the only grounded familymember and stated that he only wishes his dad would have played MGS and he wouldn't have become a Trump supporter. For me the ambiguous nature of the characters, and how actions that flow from motivations you're inclined to fault by default, makes it interesting and serves as a message to engage in critical thinking, playing devils advocate to see other perspectives and therefor enrich your own view by re-humanizing people instead of alienating/discarding views that differ from your own.

Binged through your entire Metal Gear playthrough while working to finish a Raiden cosplay in time, I loved it! You’re a very fun streamer to watch and I will definitely be sticking around more :^]. I’m glad you enjoyed the metal gear series so far. I’m very excited to see you eventually play Rising, or any other game for that matter!

It's interesting seeing someone new giving their perspective on the series as a whole and what is their favourite game of the saga. Mine is personally MGS3, but you have to remember that back then we had years in between games to play and replay these constantly, and at the time MGS2 was not that well received due to the over-complicated plot and switch of Snake with Raiden. Going back to basics in 3 and the fact that Snake was back AND we were finally getting the origin story for Big Boss is why MGS3 is overall considered the best in the saga. Seeing your playthrough now, with the benefit that you played all the games in a row yeah things make more sense and it is cool that you like MGS2 a lot, I feel like Kojima finally got the recognition that 2 deserved with hindsight and the overall arching story.

Amazing game.

By the way, thanks for the walkthroughs!

Found your channel when I was stuck in MGS3 and the walkthroughs helped me a lot in overcoming obstacles (I was trying out non-lethal stealth gameplay as a first-timer for this game lol) when it comes to the bosses and enemies.

After playing this game (MGS4), I believe that the only person who correctly interpreted The Boss' will the way it is was Solid Snake (and to a certain extent, Otacon). He did it not for her, but because it is something that he truly believes in, which is not changing the world, but leaving it as it is... and respecting the will of others, while believing in your own.

Mind blown since he did it correctly without knowing who The Boss is, what her will is, or even meeting her.

I don't think you'll read this, but in shadow moses Johnny Akiba was the guard that Merryl beat up to steal his uniform hahaha Also, thank you so much for uploading your gameplay, loved it and really enjoyed your take on the series so far, it's hard to find people who put effort into understanding MG and don't just hop on the "Kojima crazy, story don't make sense" wagon. The only thing you missed were the photo shoot sections with the B&B corps, would've loved to see your reaction to that!

So I heard that the japanese voice actors of solid snake and big boss were actual father and son, and previously had a falling out, recording for this game caused them to reconnect with eachother and patch things up. Which is...... amazing.

I would say the first 4 MGS had something that excels from the rest...

MGS1 is the characters
MGS2 is the story
MGS3 is the gameplay
MGS4 is the moments

Im glad to see newbies to the series really enjoy it. The scripts are not great overall. The dialogue is clunky, inaccessible at times, theres SO MUCH exposition, Kojima uses the characters to talk directly to the audience about the ideas and thoughts he has about issues he finds important and of course theres alot of just straight silly and outdated shit. However i think the story for each game and through the series (even with the constant retcons and reworking of the story that makes it convoluted) ultimately comes together and works and feels meaningful. Thats why the games stand the test of time IMO as well as the subject matter. War and AI and the themes this series is about are always going to be relavent.

There is a video that I edited awhile back, take a look at it:

!!incredible!! Metal Gear Solid 4 Epilogue Finally in original Japanese voice w/Eng Sub.

I added additional music from where Big Boss goes down and then Snake helps him back up and then walks to The Boss's Grave, would love to see a reaction video on it, thanks.

Video quality isn't that great, its an old video.

In my own opinion, best ending to any video game made on any medium/console, including pc, been playing games since the good ol' Apple ][e era (1978).
