What font is that in your terminal?
ОтветитьWhat stuff do you run on the background for it to be consuming 30gb of ram ? lol
ОтветитьI wouldn’t build on muscle memory and create aliases. On one hand these commands deserve to be called by their name and secondly, you don't keep the name from a former partner for the current one. 😅
ОтветитьAn actual good linux commands, loved it ❤🔥
ОтветитьCan this tools be used on IPAD os?
Ответитьok new apps to do stuff, but it's useless on production, you cannot have them on production unless you have permission to install them. so for a person who get to use these, they will stuck or struggle to use actual apps in those environments
ОтветитьI don't quite understand how what you demonstrated in ripgrep differs from ls or exa. Other than that, good video. Thanks for introduction to those tools.
Ответитьgreat suggestions!
btw, seems like recently bat as been renamed to batcat on debian.
Awesome! Some very useful tools you've shown there. Thanks dude! Subbed!
ОтветитьThis is great. Thank you.
ОтветитьGood. I'd like to see something about script, tmux, screen ... i found script somewhat useful for session recording and I recall using tmux or screen in 90s (hell, i'm old) for keeping opened terminal session when connection dies
ОтветитьAnother suggestion, turn on your Vim syntax highlighting :)
ОтветитьAmazing! Thanks! Good luch!
ОтветитьIve been using MC since the 90s! Another excellent legacy file manager was Xtree Gold. Thanks for some excellent pointers to useful programs.
ОтветитьThis is awesome!
Ответить“Zed” is so much better than “zee.” I’m going to have to change my American accent!
ОтветитьNice overview, thanks. One favorite use of bat for me is displaying syntax colored manpages.
Add the following line to your ~/.bashrc and enjoy:
export MANPAGER="sh -c 'col -bx | bat -l man -p'"
Hi, Thanks for the great video. How the size displayed while using the bat command along with filename?
In my case only filename is showing. I have the following for the --style config
--style="header,numbers,grid,snip"
Midnight Commander needs a full respin with tools like fzf integrated. It has grown arcane, they won't even integrate tabs, it's actively innovation hostile. Is there perhaps a better terminal file manager?
ОтветитьThat was so helpful. Thanks a lot!
Ответитьsuper helpful
ОтветитьI’ve used Linux and hosted basic servers and such for a very long time now… but I still have gaps in my knowledge because of mostly teaching myself. Your videos and tutorials have really taught me a lot, filled knowledge gaps, and got me up to speed on a lot things. Really appreciate your videos. They’ve helped me tremendously compared to other content creators & tutorials I’ve followed over the years. Yours stand out. Thank you!
ОтветитьI really like the pace of your videos. Anyone else, this would've been a 20-30 minute video. The pace makes it digestible, and the chapters/time codes mean I can jump back in to rewatch a given section if it didn't quite stick. Explanations are crisp, concise, and clear. nice work.
ОтветитьI don't use anything written in rust. I don't adhere to that religion thank you!
ОтветитьThis was useful.
ОтветитьYour terminal is really sleek and neat.
ОтветитьAnd with bat comes batman :-)
ОтветитьI didn't know about entr, is amazingo for fast test.
ОтветитьAnyone remember Norton Commander?
ОтветитьHi Rob! What's the theme you are using in this video? Thanks! :)
Ответитьi'll recommend LSD vs exa (via cargo/Rust), btop, gitui, mcfly(cargo/Rust), Dust(cargo/Rust) and the main one topgrade (cargo/Rust)
ОтветитьTNice tutorials was easy to follow.
ОтветитьGood vidio
ОтветитьDo you have a video on how to use and configure Exa?
Ответитьso, how did you get fzf in Ctrl + R? I didn't understand. Thank you.
Ответитьwhat font do you use on your terminal? great video
ОтветитьAside from fzf, entr, and mc— these are all written in rust. Which is really neat because even though I’m not that capable in rust, it’s probably my favorite language ever.
ОтветитьAmazin video! Do you use emacs org mode? Whats your note taking setup?
ОтветитьLink to your vid on zsh, tmux and starship please?
ОтветитьHow does midnight commander compares with tools like ranger or lf?
ОтветитьHey Tech Craft. Love the videos. I just wanted to know how i can get my terminal to look like yours. I really like it. Thanks!
ОтветитьHow do you search for '->' using rg?
Ответитьcd also has the - shortcut to go back to the previous directory
ОтветитьThank you for sharing those cool cli. Could you please share me your theme that you're using as well?
ОтветитьThank you so much.
ОтветитьYes please to an MC video! Definitely going to investigate these replacements!
ОтветитьThis an excellent compilation of useful commands. And I see you are using org mode. Yay!
ОтветитьThanks for the informative video. I also love MC and feel I've only scratched the surface of its capabilities. I would very much enjoy a dedicated MC video.
ОтветитьAweome tools! BTW. what do you use for your terminal prompt?
ОтветитьRipgrep looks like grep with --color flag. Is it true or does it have some additional features?
Ответить
