How to Separate First Middle Last Name in MS Excel (2003-2016)

The issue I have with this video is, you give the correct formula without actually explaining anything. Why is there a plus or minus. What is the relationship between the formula used with the middle name, where it is very large compared to the first name where it is short. Had this been explained properly I would think this to be a good video. Your vid is named " How to ---" . You don't actually explain how to. You show a formula and thats it.
