Great video! Solid advice as usual. Instead of an air compressor for my tubless set up i purchased an AirShot works awesome with floor pump, and take it anywhere 👍🏽😎

I helped a guy on a trike (3-wheel bicycle) on a paved trail that had a flat. He put in a new tube and away he went. On my way back down the trail, I ran into the same guy with another flat in the same tire. Turns out, he had a small piece of wire in the tire (guess he never checked the inside before reinstalling new tube). Ever since that, I carry a small multi-tool w/ pliers on the end, in case someone gets an object embedded in the tube that fingers can not pull out. Mesquite tree thorns are common in Texas. =(

how long has it been since you have ridden your bike Josh?...I'm sure you are spending a lot more time at home these days with a new baby and all, just didn't know if you are able to get any ride time in.

Those are box wrenches or combination wrenches. The adjustable one is a crescent wrench. :)

I've rounded off a suspension bolt using a harbor freight Allen key, unfortunately their tolerances are poor. Picked up a Craftsman socket Allen set, great quality bits, cost me 35$ on sale, and can be used with the torque wrench. Between that set and a multitool you'll be set. Best advice I can give is to not buy harbor freight Allen wrenches or bits.

I'm surprised that you didn't include the 1 essential tool that every biker needs which is a multi-tool that you can take on the trail, use at the trail head, or even in a pinch use in your garage if you don't have all of those other tools. On a technical note a crescent wrench is only the adjustable open ended wrench. Those other wrenches are called combination wrenches or "box end open end wrenches"

My 6 essential tool list
multi tool with allen, torx, etc. (Some even have a chain breaker and that would eliminate one of my tools)
floor pump
tire levers
ratcheting t-handle torque driver with 1/4" bits
bike cable cutters (the circular kind that prevent fraying and don't crush the cables or housing.)
chain breaker. (If I had one on my multi-tool I'd get a digital caliper. It can measure if your chain is stretched and so much more)

Josh, make sure to set your torque wrench to zero when your done using it. Leaving it at nonzero will eventually make it inaccurate

Thank you for not including a multi tool. Because all bike "which tool to have for bikes" starts out with a multiool. Which is kinda a no brainer already for bikes.

Fyi crescent wrench are really a brand that is used interchangeably for an adjustable wrench. Open end or combination wrench are the wrench's you were referring too. Good video though man!

Can confirm the chain checker. Just had to buy an eagle cassette and chain. Way more expensive than a new chain and chain checker.

Crescent is a brand name, or a universal term for an adjustable wrench. The wrenches you were calling crescent are a combination wrench. Combination because of the open end and box end. But, the air gets thinner the closer you get to Canada and things get called different names so I dunno. Lol... good stuff

Make sure you reset your torque wrench to 0 after each use, reduces spring wear and improves accuracy in the long run

"Crescent wrench" (pulls out a set of combo wrenches) "oh and you need a good adjustable wrench too" to most of America at least, an adjustable wrench is known as a crescent wrench, in the same way locking pliers are known as vise grips or adjustable pliers are known as channel locks because those are the first companies to make them. This is all good stuff to have and I like your videos, I just have to make fun of your terminology because I'm a mechanic.
