Pro Junior sounds much warmer , simple design a bit like a Harvard amp but EL84s. Imagine if they could build s 2x 6v6 version!! That Jensen Alnico is magic in small combos.

Can't get past that awful mid-low thrump like everytime he hits the deadened strings, sounds like a box buried 6ft under, fatness to me can breathe and that amp sounds like it's got socks stuffed in its mouth. Am I alone in this?

Uses single coil to demonstrate amp for a whole video...wow... I dont get some of these damn videos. Like honestly? So much for adapting towards the humbucker audience as well.

Like the lacquered tweed look much better and the black knobs with the metallic back plate , i went for the visuals basically _ other than that I know Jack @#$% not much about amps but got myself the blues jr LTD and it's overall more than great for my use ‼️

Both superb, but need to be cranked for classic tube tone and the Pro Jr doesn't have a master volume so can't be attenuated. Get the Blues Jr if you want top tone at neighbour- or partner-friendly volume👍🏼

Sadler is just an awesome player and a perfect demonstrator for this gear. The Pro Junior IV is killer. I did rehouse it in a Fender Deluxe sized cab and pop at 12" speaker in - and that made this great amp even better (to me).

Was all set to buy the Pro Junior, but in order to get it to break up you've gotta crank the hell out of the volume to levels way too loud for home use. Beautiful amp but, terrific sound.

@roadapple66 - 27.05.2020 00:58

Too many people dismiss the Pro Jr. because of its limited tone stack. They do this before they hear one that is broke-in. I don't think the Pro Jr. needs anything but a cab you can mount a 12" speaker into. It doesn't really need that. If you want more control of the tone settings, you can always get a decent EQ pedal.

Actually the spring reverb mod is awful.....it is weak and wimpy....I just unboxed my 2nd try at one, I had to turn it all the way up to 10, to get anything like a reverb....they should have left that mod alone....this version of the blues jr. amp sounds boxy and very compressed, my ac10 sounds much better...sorry fender.

Interesting that every review or demo of the Pro Junior talks about the added headroom, then turns it up to overdrive it. Yes, the drive is glorious, but the clean sound is classic tweed. And loud. Loud enough that 7 or8 is going to do the job in most applications where you would use a single 10 amp. Wish someone would demo it by diming it, then rolling off the guitar volume for your clean tone. And, as everyone else is saying,that Tele sounds spectacular here. Kudos to this player for playing predominantly rhythm style, which is what we all do most of the time if you play in a band.

How many years will it be before you finally make this in a head version? I would have purchased this seven years ago if it was in that form factor. The small cab and combo format are deal breakers for me, and I imagine for quite a few other folks as well.

I'm interested in the Pro Junior. I need a gigable, super-lightweight amp (around 20 lbs., I have a bad back injury). I wish it had a bit more clean headroom, but it should be ok. A musician I know uses one live and recommends it. Unfortunately, in every demo I hear for the Pro Junior, they are using either a Strat or a Tele. I'd love to hear a good demo like this video, but with humbuckers.

It seems like the new Pro Jr. just has a different taper to its volume pot. So you have to turn it to 10 rather than 5 on the older models. It's great that they finally put a P10R in it as a stock speaker. It's much better than the Fender Special design speaker.
