.webp files aren't that bad for me honestly. My video and photo editing software (Shotcut and pixlr respectively) can both open them so I don't have too many problems with them.

just change the dot format to .png and put it to save as type "all files"

PROTIP: If you try to save a WEBP image, remove the .webp extension and put the .jpg one, and you will be able to save it in a format you can watch the pic. :'3

There's an extension called Save Image as Type, so you can avoid downloading webps

just have a special screenshot app that lets you save certain parts of your screen as a screenshot, you can basically copy the image that way and always have it be a png or jpeg whenever you want because it gives you every file format

Bro this pisses me off in my graphic design class. Because if you just rename it to file.jpg then photoshop yells at you for the file containing "improper or missing jpg markers" LIKE THAT MAKES ANY SENSE

I'm so glad someone else is as absolutely infuriated by webp files as much as me 😂 literally ruins my day, especially when I'm downloading a bunch of reference images and my hand literally gets sore from having to type png so many fucking times 😡

Bruh just click to save as any format and rename the file so it ends with .png

as a Graphic designer Webps and fake PNGs are my nemesis.

Select all files and type .png or .jpeg instead of .webp

Tip copy the image paste in word then save the image it will be in jpg if you copy the image and it doesn’t paste take a print of the image or use the capture tool

I usually have to do some reference gathering for photography or other things art related, and there is way to many webp on the internet, just remove them honestly

I dont know how you are suposed to do it but i usualy just take a screenshot with Windows+Print

i mave madr webp to jpg converter in java , just google it . its a jar file on source forge

Whenever I have this problem, I copy the image and send it somewhere else to convert it as a PNG or JPEG file

I use command line, curl or wget + url does the job. Downloads the original image. You can also paste it in some download manager.
