Starfield has so much potential, the game is so modular that they can implement a lot to this game. I'd love it to be free but if they wanna do small Automator DLC that adds a bunch of stuff, I'll take it.

Pointless. Does not actually review the game or explain even anything regarding what it's about. Thumbs down!

I put around 50 hours into the game at launch, i think the combat and the quests where quite good. Sadly the things that made me want to quit before finishing the main story line was the god awful loading screens and the bad pc performance. I do have a high end computer that runs all the modern games i throw at it, so its dissapointing that i wasnt able to play starfield smoothly. I do think its a good thing that they patch the game frequently but start with the bigger issues instead of fixing minor stuff that players dont notice.

It's funny how streamers complain that game journalists push a certain narrative, for or against a particular game. Streamers did that to Starfield. When Starfield came out, a couple of top named streamers played a couple of hours of the game and said it was trash. They used talking points from the IGN US review of the game (IGN worldwide had a different review of the game). I believe this, along with it being Xbox exclusive, caused all the hate. Players love Cyberpunk 2077. They even compare it to Starfield as a meme. I guess they forgot the horrible launch that game had. Starfield wasn't nearly as bad.

It’s been 8 months, so I figured maybe they fixed the performance issues. Loaded up the Gamepass version and it won’t go 30 seconds to a minute without stuttering and freezing, even on low settings. 🤦🏻‍♂️🙄 My rig can run a lot of games at high or ultra with no issues. To be fair, considering how embarrassing the release was, and how no one is playing it, I guess I probably wouldn’t bother trying to fix it either. 🤷🏻‍♂️

i played starfield again after months and i have a mixed opinion... but overall i dont know... it doesnt catch me as much as the older bethesda titles...it sometimes feel like work... the people and the quests arent interesting enough...

there are some mods alreade that enhance the building systtem,
but it needs more qeusts, in depth options in many ways...

things that mods can add... what about a city full of robots, larger areas, the complete lore feels kinda meaningless... besides the few cities, there is nothing much... all the planets with the 3 dots are nothing more than repepetive areas / quests like "oh we miss our miner can u find it" or "oh the evil spacers make us trouble"...

there have been some interesting quests, but the way they represent it and not going in depth is terrible... for example the terramorph quests uc vanguard... the last location, the homeplanet of the terramorph felt so limited... all the time they said something like "you will enter the city"... the last door of the small areas said "bla bla bla city"... i was full of hope seeing a large city with maybe more sidequests... something like metro city or something... but it was just a small limited area that screamed: "im a smoll area"...

this game needs mods... especially quest and worldbuilding mods... the gunplay is solid, the weapons are fun, lots of good stuff, but it wont make the average quests and the limited worldbuilding better... this is my main complain because if this was good, all the other negative points would be negibile

Are you still farming this game? You didn't like it when it came out, you still don't like it. Why even play or talk about it. I hate lazy streamers who have no creativity, so they make negative videos to get views. Blocked like the rest of the others. Learn to give quality content. BTW, I don't play starfield. I just hate lazy creators.

Can some modder please get the Starfield Character Editor into No Man's Sky?!?!?!? The horrible looking characters in NMS is the only thing putting me off. But it is so essential for me to have human like faces that I haven't played NMS since launch and will only return once they implement human faces... So probably never.

I don't know maybe it is me but once I put down a game because of issues I rarely go back to it. This can be said for this game as well as Cyberpunk too. Game pass make this even more easy to do because I am not really paying for the game.

Comparison isn't fair to NMS. Starfield has probably 20x the budget.

....

Oh, wait, even with that, NMS post launch support brutally and embarrassingly torches Starfield's.

That's what happens when a major studio is basically a big corp, laser focused on profit beyond all else. Since SF didn't make 1000x profit, Bethesda isn't taking post-launch seriously.

It's great now. It got so bad, I couldn't play for more than 5 or 10 minutes without a hang or crash or dropping out to xbox. I would put in my 5 or 10 minutes of play after each update to see if the problem was fixed. I did that for months, not playing the game, just waiting for the game to work. I don't recall when it was fixed but it finally was and I can now play for hours with rarely an issue.

remember that Starfield is MASSIVELY Larger then Skyrim ever was, even WITH it's DLC's, so comparing it's development and additional content release time is in all honesty really stupid due to the MAJOR Size Difference.
and STILL, they have made a new DLC for Starfield within a years time of Release which is MASSIVE, and honestly is impressive when you consider the scope and size of Starfield in comparrisson to Skyrim.

it is no small thing to make DLC within a years time for a game as big as Starfield. that and the technology and hardware now compared to back then is INSANE, which also adds to the entire thing being impressive.

dont hate on them too much yet. they havent gone as bad as EA or Ubisoft at least, and that is a good sign in my book.

I'm about 20 hours into this game and once I've settled down with the controls and the premise of the game, I'm absolutely loving it where there is a nice mix of shooting and exploration. I've been looking for something to "replace" the likes of Skyrim, GTAV and Fallout 4 and Starfield seems to be doing that. Yes, there are other free-world roaming type games such as Farcry 6, Cyberpunk and Red Dead Redemption 2 but felt like they have fallen short of the mark where I thought perhaps I was starting to lose interest in console gaming, but Starfield is so far piquing my interest yet again.
I've set it at 60 fps with Visual on but disabled the VSync and so far it seems to be working pretty well, there are the occasional stutter in the bigger open world sections but most of the action/exploration occurs in the interior sections anyway. I can see this game soaking up quite a bit of my spare time, and me being semi-retired that won't be an issue.

The problem for me is this child-like design of No man's sky that won't resonate to me. I rather take this Starfield CRAP and uncrap it with mod - but I'm 100% against players working for free in a game that should have been completed by the company.

Such a letdown of a game. Currently playing Fallout 4 and the exploration in Starfield doesnt even compare. The "exploration" in Starfield has too many load screens that break immersion.

I had fun with Starfield. (113 hours) I havend played in 10 months. There is way to little content, to play more than 50-100 hours. The shipbuilder motivatet me, so I played this much.

They must add a lot of content and bugfixes to make the game appealing.

Actually I believe the way they should do it is make a game make it right and make it complete then release it and then the only thing that they should be doing every now and then is quality of life updates no adding DLC no changing things no removing things no changing the UI none of that do you know how annoying it is like with fallout 76 or call of duty modern warfare warzone all that s***for GTA do you know how annoying it is when you're on top of something you constantly get every single new piece of DLC or every new item that's released and then say you don't play it for a little while or you you hop on to another game for a while and then when you come back there's all this stuff that you missed you feel almost alienated where you don't even want to play the game that you love and already spent so much time money and effort in so now I believe when they make games they should leave out all the DLC after the game is released and if they have any ideas that they think you're interesting make a new game out of it a new complete game

Star Citizen, NMS, Elite dangerous, have better exploration than Starfield has. The game has a good few hours while you are getting introduced to everything (and the more grounded style its just perfect), but once the honeymoon period is over, there isnt much left to do.
The story is lackluster at best, the space mechanics are basic, no real landing/taking off which all the competition has, hell even X4 has them.

Starfield for as exciting as it looked, its just a disappointing game. I really hope they fix the issues and implement the things the game should have had from the beginning. If Cyberpunk managed to make a come back, then Im sure Starfield can too (i hope.)

The following is just me being bitter but... Imagine being the only space game RPG that has loading screens for everything lol.

The biggest reason why I miss the vendor chests you could exploit is because it massively sped up and improved experimenting with the Ship Building features that, granted you have the money for, is literally the most fun I've had playing the game between the quests. Removing that desperately needed money source pretty much drives a very compelling gameplay feature into the dirt making you dependent on a ridiculous amount of farming or grinding just to get a fully kitted Class C ship.
