I have to be honest - I thought that it was really complex to set up a Discord server, but when I tried The Free Discord Template Server You recommended - it wasn't so bad. In fact, I got so into it that I couldn't stop :D I needed to go to sleep 1.5h ago, but making my own Discord server is really exciting and fun!

I gotta say man, you've helped me out so much during this entire process, i started getting into creating on streaming last Friday. And anytime i run in to a question or roadblock your beautiful mug is the first thing that shows up and helps me solve it. You're a godsend

I'm feeling stupid while trying to figure out the intended purpose of certain channels in this template, mostly because I'm unfamiliar with typical Discord server methodology. What exactly is the "server-access" channel for under the welcome category? I imagine the "welcome" channel is mostly just for a pinned welcome message (and maybe for the server bot to put out a "WELCOME DUDE!" kinda thing). "rules-and-info" is straightforward, as is introductions...
Figuring out how to organize the basic structure doesn't seem to click for me somehow.

What about "streamer-research" under the mod chat category? Research OF other streamers, or research for MY stream?

And this one I'm not sure why is bothering me, but what exactly is "invited-codes-for-stream" supposed to be? If I needed to put out an invite code for people to play with me, wouldn't I direct message the people I'd be playing with, or is for a sort of "first come first serve" sort of invite code?

hi there! i found this so helpful but i wanted to know if there was a way to integrate the template into a sever already in existence? - mine is bare-boned but still exists and i don't want to undo the minimal progress i've made.

I have always wanted my own since its simple way to engage with members while not live. I was intimidated by the bots and roles, keeping me from starting one.

I know I am watching this video really late but the reason I haven’t started a server yet is because I am a small streamer and I only have like 2 or 3 different persons that come back to watch my streams

Know this is a bit old by now but the main things that held me back from making a discord:
1.) moderation, I'm not super knowledgable about discord and I've heard of bots and things trying to get people to share personal info, wanna make sure I don't end up with something dangerous i don't understand!
2.) not sure how small is too small.. ? I'm in so many discrod servers but I end up inactive in a lot of them
3. Not sure what channels would be the best for people!
