SKR V1.3 Comprehensive guide - 32bit 3D printing for $20

Im trying to mod my ender 3 and this was like greek to me i am so confused 😅😭

Sorry to chime in late but I recently purchased an SKR v1.3 to upgrade an old tronxy x5s. You indicate that the 2130 drivers need a harness for spi mode. But I thought the SKR board could handle spi mode without a harness.

The Atom text editor has been sunset. What should be used now?

I have some TMC2100s with the chip on the underside of the tiny PCB. On the upperside of the PCB is no visable metallic material at all. It has the tracks and the silkscreen, but nothing that looks like it's heat conductive. Any ideas how I should attach the heatsink please?

Hello I own a FYSETC F6 V1.3 Board and a RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller and tmc 2208 v2.0 This driver is available in my country is it possible to work with it as I can't get a driver 1.1 The driver is not available in my country

I just went through installing an SKR V1.3 with TMC2209. It sat on the shelf for a year before I got to it. It lasted 3 days then I lost control of the E0 extruder motor (clicking and rocking back and forth). It was not the TMC2209 driver, I swapped it out. The problem seems to be the board itself. Not Knowing Marlin well, I took it on. One day later I am back up and running with the SKR V1.3. I had to redirect E0 to the E1 stepper control, along with a couple other details. I could not find any SKR V1.3 replacement boards available, so I am lucky I found a way to fix it.

I can't find one of the specs. Do you know what is the "largest wire" that can be used to connect +24 to the board?

Big mistake buying this board. Especially if your not using it to upgrade the Ender 3 exactly as explained in this video. apparently its catered to just that and maybe only that. its loaded with issues. This tutorial is very limited and the chances of it working as shown here are probably 10:1 outside the Ender 3. Support is painfully limited. I had so many issues that I bought a second one thinking maybe the first one was defective. The second one behaved different from the first but still could not make functional. Endless waste of time trying to make it work. Totally regret buying it.

What does a 32bit board give you? Does it lead to more accurate movement or is it the fact that it can support better stepper drivers?

Great video. The only thing i would recommend to people a year later, is to check out Marlin-Configurator by akaJes on GitHub. Saved me a ton of headaches configuring marlin for my CR-10.

Atom is no longer supported by PlatformIO, Visual Studio Code should be used instead!

I always get "tmc connection error". Im using 2100 drivers and scoured the whole internet, but can't find a solution for the 2100 drivers. Can anyone help?

I wish I could give this a try, but my Atom is stuck at the PlatformIO IDE installation. And the PlatformIO support says that Atom has been deprecated, that we should use VSCode instead...

I'm bettewen the MKS Sgen L (32 bits) and the SKR V1.3 but i can't find reasons to decide me what to choose
I have seen on your channel that you have tried several boards and perhaps you can advise me.
(I am a beginner user in 3D printing and have barely tried different components)

Literally so much stuff missing from this guide.
