Fuck grunge, those pasty-faced poseurs who liked to say they were "sad" and "depressed" but couldn't resist that money when it came rolling in (Derp Nobrain, stupid; I'm lookin' at you, cookiepuss). Bands like Tesla, Cinderella and the Black Crowes were where rock was at. And when BC were on, they were fucking ON, like here. Otis would have been stunned. A soul tune by blueprint, the Crowes amped the guitars, called on the horns, cranked the Hammond and made damn sure those drums got some airtime too, capping it all with strutting vocals and a SCORCHING lead break. I don't really think anyone else could have done this song half the justice the Crowes did here.

Groovy film and did you hear bout the earth asteroid belt? Magenta vacuums and blue mirrors are one third the human colour spectrum. Yellow subtracts red as solar, cyan subtracts green as lunar, magenta subtracts blues asteroidial.

This video was recorded at the Alpine Valley outdoor Music Theater in East Troy Wi. in July 1990. Sadly less than a month later Steve Ray Vaughn would die in a helicopter crash while leaving this theater.
