That was very interesting. It would appear that at least two of the places did have s l o w service, which can irritate us face-paced Americans, but overall I didn't see anything that would rate a 1 star review. Of course neither of us walked a mile in the shoes of those reviewers so who can say? Everyone has an off day, consumers and businesses alike. Also I did check out your merch, alas both Task Force Tees are sold out... Oh well. Carry on.

I went to the last restaurant’s yelp page and couldn’t find Ryan’s review. Why is that?

Awe i used to go to the Chinese Place in LA (before another better place opened a bit closer to me). Never had a problem with them really. Standard Chinese buffet.

Also MI is Michigan. MS is Mississippi

The two letters for Mississippi are MS. Not MI(Michigan)

Proof yelp reviews are just angry people venting.

It's a common rule for buffets in England too.
It's not that you can't leave any food on your plate. What they get annoyed with/charge for is if you fill a plate and leave like half of it or all of it after taking it.
Leaving one or two things? It's easy to misjudge, but if you know you're almost full and you fill your plate to overflow and then leave half/all of it that's a lot of waste that someone else might have enjoyed that they now not only have to cook from fresh but also have to throw away for no reason.

I suspect those with small children who had "food on their plate" was a result of the parent putting it on the childs plate to make themselves look better. (yes. Everyone knows that's a thing that some people do), and that would be why the owner got annoyed especially if he has those signs up as well. He probably kicked them out when they became argumentative and disruptive.

Agreed with your final statement, You can't always go by yelp reviews.

The owner at the end was amazing. People don't take their time to make good reviews but instead make others look bad. I understand how hard it is to own a business, so I feel very bad for wronged people. Thanks for making this video!

I never trust yelp 🙃 I really felt bad for some businesses that didn't deserve a low star review especially Asia Buffet. Take it from an east asian, we just don't like food spoiling or leftover to put to waste. That's a buffet thing in Asia actually. in some buffet places in the Philippines, If you left food on your plate they will charge you with that.. understandably.

That new panda buffet review was extremely LA. Aggressively bad Chinese food, broke LA snobs living above their means, unsanitary conditions. Ahhh I don't miss LA at all
