I'm assuming that if all the other tags for the name you want to keep are taken then when it tries to randomize you would end up with the same tag. So you would keep your tag for free. Obviously there would need to be 9999 users with the same name as you for this to work.

For me when I do it, it works the first time but now it says "too many users have this username" when I've tried all the usernames on the list. So can any of you guys help.

An easier method -
Just change your name to your current tag to get a new one!
