Even though the first SUMMIT of Everest was in 1953, mountaineers had been climbing well past the 27,000ft mark since 1922.
All Hillary did was walk on the paths that they had made and then climb only 2,000ft of on pathed terrain.

I have points, I flew to Kathmandu 6 times and stayed in the hotels there. I paid the fees 5 times to a government official that allowed me to legally operate there. I installed antennas and communicated with people around the world with my personal equipment a few miles distant from the summit, and Oh, I saw Everest twice from an airplane view and once from the ground at its base (more or less). They get paid well for what they do. They aren’t slaves so quit putting out the idea that rich white people are taking advantage of these folks .

They ahould make it so, that if Sherpa or whoever is guiding these people up dies because of stupidity of their clients these clients should pay stipend to surviving kids and mothers until kid is of age, because with father’s death they lost any source of income.
