This is not proof that gender is a spectrum its proof that there can be a ton of disorders and mutations but there are still only two genders.

Women give birth to human beings when impregnated.
Men impregnate women.
Some people have physical illnesses, genetic mutations or psychiatric disorders that effectively render them sterile, and that is very sad.
But that doesn't mean that sex is a spectrum.
Sex isn't a spectrum, because sex not about microscopes, and it's not about culture.
Sex is about propagating the species.

Since sexes are reproductive strategies, the criteria for a sex spectrum is a spectrum of gametes. In humans and all anisogamous species the number of gamete types is strictly 2. Sex is binary.

There is also the brain scans to consider, showing trans women's brains are more like typical cis women's, that trans men's are more like typical cis men's, and showing tendencies and trends, but not a binary.

Wouldn't these genetic mutations in any other species be detrimental to the success of the individual in a normal wild environment? In the case of humans we support and accept these mutations giving them a larger chance of genetic success, thereby increasing the incidence in the population. I fail to see the advantage of "intersex" individuals to the human species. These anomalies must create many psychological issues seeing as the general population is of two sexes.
