I'm a big, tall dude with long red hair and a beard. Many people say I look like a viking, highlander, thor, odin, and many other stuff. I already love viking culture and mythology, so if people put that title on me, then might as well rock it.
ОтветитьViking is kind of a "profession" so why not. I appreciate your positive approach to this question.
ОтветитьLive and Let Live !!
We are all human beings living in One World!!
Tattoos are to each preference!!
I recently found out that my ancestors come from Northern Germany, Dutch, England, and Norway. My wife and I have been embracing my heritage and got a Norse rune for marriage for our 10 year anniversary. For our 11th anniversary my wife and I are going to be getting our daughters name in runes. My big project I want to do is get Yggdrasill on my back that is a family tree. I've also started to grow my beard and my hair out to not only honor my ancestors but also to honor my father who passed in 2022 (he had long hair and a beard).
ОтветитьI'm a native American I do a lot of native artwork as well as viking torc much like you I love that my Culture is being Celebrated and enjoy by all
ОтветитьVIKINGS ARE VIKINGS!!! YOU BLOOD BURNS WITH THE FIRE OF A WARRIOR YOU ARE A VIKING!! FØDT VIKING!! LEVE VIKING!!! DØ VIKING!!
ОтветитьPut it this way ,if you got a gang tattoo and aren't in that gang you would be beat up or shot. But at the end of day nothing really matters anyways
ОтветитьI WILL PUT MY ANCESTRY ALL OVER MY BODY!!! YOU DONT PAY MY BILLS!!! WHOEVER HAS A PROBLEM WITH IT STOP BEIN AN INTERNET GANGSTER AND DO SUMTHIN BOUT IT!!!!! HOMIE
ОтветитьI'm Swedish and if I tattoo Yggdrasil or Hugin or Munin .. Then I'm apperently a nazi ?? WTF?
ОтветитьI'm a Spaniard and as such (multicultred), i would adivice to all the people to not only Focus on one foreign culture, but first to study on their own and not only be "influenced" by a TV series.
Ответитьwe are all from the same place. Nobody owns a culture.
ОтветитьI'm from England and after doing a DNA test found out that I'm half English 1/3 Scottish and 1/8 Norwegian I've always felt more connected to the north (Scotland/Scandinavia) Viking/ Norse culture has always been my favourite of all the historic cultures. I plan on getting so e Norse tattoos and maybe a sleeve telling the story of Ragnarok.
ОтветитьVery good video, i like it. It is interesting. Although I have tattoos i personally avoid all runes, bind runes and sigils. As you know about them, the magic behind is not something to be used lightly. Like egils saga, with the sick woman and runes carved under the bed. I've had my tattoos, hair, even my arm ring (thanks shitty vikingr tv show) criticised but couldnt care less. "A crow cares not for words from worms". Our culture is not a music genre nor a fashion so just smile and ignore it. Well said.
ОтветитьVikings where from for sure Nordic but also went to America and several middle eastern and African areas and spread their beliefs and culture so I think it’s not appropriation of the culture from the Yucatan and I’ve always been interested in the Viking belief system and spiritual realm it’s Very awesome and real. My honest opinion.
ОтветитьI'm Germanic and Nordic, ik that's a large area but it's mainly because we are from all over that area. My grandparents left Germany to escape from the Nazi's so it's nice to look back at my heritage and see the Viking lineage within me. the tattoo is a connection between us
ОтветитьI have mainly Irish and German blood, and when I learned that Vikings actually existed in Ireland for round two centuries raiding and setting up settlements. I became fascinated with Norse mythology and Vikings and I’ve been doing research and reading and I want my first tattoo to actually be ouroboros and I plan on getting more tattoos like that, but I was actually struggling to decide if it was OK for me to get the tattoo at all. I wasn’t sure if some people might find it offensive, so I pretty much shelved with the idea but after watching this video, I think I might actually get the tattoo
Ответитьin my experience the mix of both nordic and ancient greek tattoos is a huge red flag for far-right/nazi humanoids. they don´t do it for the respect of any culture and have zero values
Ответить“Very cool” video 😎
ОтветитьI love nordic/norse tattoos. I got a aegishalmúr on my left arm and I-m gonna get a vegvisir on the right arm.
ОтветитьNever had a tattoo, never wanted one. Viking or not it's just not a look that I like.
ОтветитьI was adopted as a baby. I am a huge history buff, but did not know my own. I had DNA done and the largest percent is Swedish and Danish. Interestingly I had always been interested in their history. I am now planning tattoos to represent my ancestors. The next largest segment of DNA is Scottish and that will be represented also
Ответить1. Cretan Guard discovered America c.1200BC adding to the Linear A & B expeditions that started in 1450BC

4. Religion of Thor started in 133BC with Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus, men over 300 pounds sent to America
5. Carthage was moved to America during the Punic Wars 261BC, Phoenicians inhabited Vineland, the Appalachian Mtns

7. Freydis Eiriksdottir - South America, Liefr Eirikson - North America, the Ouroboros Dragon leading to Vineland Station
I'm Germanic. I dont care what others do. People are too focused on shit like that. The normanic and germanic Vikings were proud warriors (not without fault) and if they feel like a proud warrior. Fuck it. Go ahead
ОтветитьOld runes are not just Viking or Norse or Icelandic, they came from present day Germany and Denmark and southern Scandinavian, there is also Anglo Saxon and old English derivatives of it. And furthermore, as long as you respect the history, why should anyone complain, that's like black people saying white people can't have braids even though braids were recorded in 50BC in present day Denmark.
ОтветитьIt makes me happy when people like my tattoo (only one rn) but if they didn’t like it but I couldn’t really care less if they hate it. What are they gonna do? Hit me? Free money after I sue them🤣
ОтветитьNo big deal blue whales turning on our core
ОтветитьStoolgard🌸
ОтветитьI forgot you live in Iceland
ОтветитьNORWEGIAN AMERICAN HERE!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE
ОтветитьIt's not cultural appropriation to appreciate and even identify with culture you weren't born into! Culture is ment to be shared and is based around people's personal opinions morals and beliefs so when people enjoy and agree with different cultures it should be celebrated
ОтветитьShe is the President of Nordic Tattoos as you may see
ОтветитьI love Nordic or Viking culture. I would love to move to Iceland one day.
ОтветитьIt’s weird how English u look I guess we are more Scandinavian than I think
ОтветитьI live in the midlands uk which was danelaw I feel deeply connected to Viking / Norse culture
ОтветитьI wanna get my first tatto and I love vikings and norse mythos. I wanted to get thor on one arm and the world serpent on the other arm. I had one of those panic moment's of if this is a great idea cause I dont wanna disrespect anything. But these comments cured that 😊
ОтветитьCultural Appreciation
ОтветитьI live in the US. But, I have a large amount of norse genetics. I enjoy the norse culture quite a bit. I don't feel as if you have to be from there to get a norse tattoo.
ОтветитьI was born In the USA and have always had a drawn to scottish, Irish and Scandinavian culture so last year I did some research and found out I'm exactly what I was drawn too and there's the odd belkin in there idk where that comes in but it's there. I'm also a 6ft 1in man with blonde hair blue eyes and wide body structure so I had a pretty good idea where I was from just took some research to be sure. I'm now at the point where I'm planning a trip to see where my family will have lived once apon a time. This overwhelming draw to a location and people has been interesting and am currently looking for ways to be more in touch with those beliefs and ways of life and maybe a tattoo of some sort is what I'm looking for who knows but this definitely makes me feel better about doing it.
ОтветитьI'm asian and I'm proud of my viking inspired armor full sleeve ink.
ОтветитьNo person should have a Nordic tattoo unless they are Nordic, and that goes for germanic celtic pagan tattoo as well
ОтветитьThese gods aren’t exclusive to Iceland or the Norse. The Germans worshiped Odin as did the English in Woden. Watch survive the jive.
ОтветитьFeeling pity or sorry for someone nevertheless feeling "sorry" for them 🤣 it shows that you want to put your self on a moral high ground trying to exercise some form of control stop being offended by being a feelings Nazi lol
ОтветитьYes talking about it is helpful and not letting “them” take the true meaning away from them
ОтветитьSæl systir, I didn't find your second video on the Elder Futhark
ОтветитьI'm Swedish and i personally don't mind at all that people from all over the globe get viking/norse tattoos, i just think it's weird how a large number of people think it's okay to get like Viking/Norse (etc etc) tattoos but think that it wouldn't be okay to get a tattoo from a non-European culture. I love people having different opinions, but hypocrisy is nauseating.
ОтветитьI'm a wiccan(modern pagan), I'm also polytheistic and worship many different gods from many different cultures I will make alters for them if I feel a connection(no matter what religion they originate). I have used many viking runes in my work, it helps me feel connected to the origins of my beliefs. I plan on making an alter for Odin. Don't know why but I wanted to share this. I plan on getting some of the runes tattooed to feel even closer, though I don't originate from Iceland.
ОтветитьSee I'm a lunatic. ulfr is my alias my daughter's name is Freya and I can damn near speak the language it's not where your from in this life time is where your from in past lifetimes
