So a month ago there was a fire in my building at 3 a.m. I stood outside in my pajamas until 4:30 a.m. and it was my birthday. Not a great way to start the day. On my way back into the building I found a wallet that belonged to another resident in the building. Using the identification in the wallet I searched the directory and buzzed them to meet me in the lobby. They came down not wearing a mask. I gave them the wallet and they left without ever saying thank you. A couple of days ago they were in the elevator and still weren't wearing a mask. They didn't even recognize me as the person that made an effort to return their wallet to them. Fuck them! Fuck pay it forward. Do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. Don't expect them to be who you want them to be.
