Helpfull tip I set up my xr3 with it. Seems useful unless preserving the highlights gets difficult.
ОтветитьIt looks like you also lock focus when you do this. Can you lock exposure without locking focus. On Canon you can use *HI which will lock only the exposure
ОтветитьI tend to use auto ISO and like to control manually aperture and shutter speed. When I press AE-L nothing happens. When I put aperture on auto, still the lock doesn't work. Only when shutter speed is in auto the lock works, which makes no sense to me, because while shooting video that's the only variable I have on manual. What should I do for AE-L to work with all three exposure triangle variables? Why can't I lock only auto ISO for example? I hope it's my mistake, because if that's how things are on Fuji cameras, it would make me hate the company. It has to be my fault. Tell me it is. :)
ОтветитьThank you for showing on how to configure the on/off settings!
ОтветитьAny idea if there is a similar functionality of on/off in Nikkon? I find it difficult to keep pressing the button and shooting a scene.
ОтветитьAh tyvm for explaining that, just got it
ОтветитьAwesome! Thanks!
Ответитьwhat is that thin white line on you camera screen?
ОтветитьOh thank you, I was trying to figure out how to not have to keep pressing that button while shooting. This made life so much more simple.
ОтветитьI was arguing with Fujifilm exposure changes forever, I recently discovered this button and it's changed my life 🤣
Ответитьthank you! my godforsaken xt-3 is letting me down again and again with this nonstop flickering exposure-adjusting.. its driving me absolutely crazy - none of my other cameras have done this. i hope there will be some peace now when the exposure is locked...
ОтветитьVery, very useful little video and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
ОтветитьI do that all the time too!
ОтветитьPlease reverse your lenshood…
ОтветитьThank you for this short but very informative video :D I've watched a few that explained it too much I fell asleep lol
Ответитьgreat for pano! i was looking exactly for that setting. thanks!
ОтветитьVery helpful! Thank you!
ОтветитьWhat is the use for auto focus lock?
ОтветитьManual mode... No thanks!
ОтветитьGood morning Matthew from Greece, I have one XT2 and I use AE-L in A priority but when is ON lock and the focus area and I cannot change the focus area. Is it normal?
ОтветитьPerfect tip, made my shootings much more smooth!
ОтветитьI have had a Fuji X100V for a month or so and have been struggling with this. You answered it for me. The button is now AN ON/OFF SWITCH IN MY CAMERA. I am not sure what the default was but I love how it works now. Thanks for a great tip. So simple when you understand it but very confusing before (for me anyway).
ОтветитьThank you so much! Answered, one of the questions I have/had, perfectly. Thanks!
ОтветитьI am currently using an X-E1 and an X100S. The AE-L and AF-L are combined into a single button. I have mine set up as an on/off switch for AF-L only.
ОтветитьIt was default on/off when pressing on my X-T2, and I like it that way. I can see some situations that a hold to lock is a good idea, but to my every day use I prefer press to lock.
I use it every day, especially when I'm out fishing during street photography. Then I lock focus and exposure, and wait for my subject to walk into frame.
fuji really confuses me on the AE/AF-L buttons. i find out that when i half press the shutter button it auto AE-L
