I just found out about Jóhann Jóhannsson during a music-searching spree. This is the first song I heard and it became my favorite of his. It's disheartening to learn he passed away so young, at the peak of his artistic career. This is such a simple, yet so deeply-moving piece. The progression is so similar, yet every new wave of notes feels fresh and almost unexpected. A tranquil, yet tragic piece. RIP.

It's an album about change, love and art – a reflection of our relationships, as is the film Flight from the City" to 6 year old, I am not sure how old the girl in the video is assume she understand the meaning of the act . It is beautiful way to show the meaning of life and nature.

I never heard of this movie , I was just looking for beautiful music to work to, I looked and saw the woman and the girl in the water and I watched , because I immediately thought of my daughter. The girl slips away and the mother begins to drown and I was so moved at the depiction of loss, so beautifully done by the director. The story unfolded without a word . My heart ached . Now I want to know everything about this piece, and I’m supposed to be working .😢 Beautiful

My mother used to listen to this song, so it reminds me of the times when se used to love me and care of me. It hurst really bad that she changed and since 2019 she hasn't been the same.

Why is life so mysteriously beautiful...?

Listening to this piece is timely. There has been so much loss in my life but I never grieved it until I got laid off amd took a sabbatical recently. So many if my dreams feel dead and buried. Music like this opens a flood gate of tears for me. I often lack the words to describe how I feel on a regular basis but rhis makes me feel some comfort in the tragedies and lessons Ive learned in life.

I think this piece of art has so much to say about parenthood; the parent tries their best to teach the child how to float, but eventually they have to let them leave their arms. And afterwards, they struggle to form a new identity, one that isn't tied to their child. But ultimately, as we tend to do, the child returns, because she'll always need her mother.

I don't know, I love it. I'm not a parent. I'm a 30 yer old single man, I have no sisters, I just know I still need my mom sometimes. I bawled watching this.
