As far as I'm concerned, you can't say a bad thing about Bezos. When used responsibly, a membership to Amazon Prime provides more for low income families than any government, initiative, or charity ever will. It's an amazing service.

Obviously, Jeff has made better use of the internet than many of the commenters below. Amazing to see how his stated objectives and values have played out to date. He's clearly beyond the scope and comprehension of the cynical interviewer. This reporter? What the hell is he after here? He should have asked for a job instead of belittling the upstart tycoon.

Customer-focus. Spot on. Amazon has set the benchmark for customer service. This is the viewpoint of this Australian. Next day delivery-for free ! I'm still amazed. The stock market agrees with me.

lol that interviewer is trying to characterize Jeff and Amazon as some flashy Internet business doomed to fail. I wouldn't be surprised if he was in cahoots with competitors.

Lol "with all due respect" and "corporate arrogance" in the same sentence.

Meanwhile Jeff maintains a humble posture both verbally and physically and is incredibly candid about the risks involved. Yet, he is absolutely clear about what his priorities are.

That's a hell of a leader there.

He saw the future of online shopping and where it was heading, he predicted his own success with this model. The smartest thing was getting 20 people to invest a $50,000 each. What a brilliant way! He really believed in its success from the get go. His best model was the costumer experience and to this day millions around the world trust Amazon. Heck I even have a Amazon prime membership because there are so many products I use everyday that are actually on the prime list. Now I think he could be more fair to his workers and give them insurance and more hours but you can see he cares about the costumer experience that’s his focus.

Amazon's customer service (getting help with issue pre/post sale) is HORRIFIC. Chaining AI with scripted non-English speakers does not work. However, Amazon's customer experience is, by far, the best out there and everyone is copying them. It's insane that I can flick my thumb and press my index finger in my phone before bed, and have the item I bought in my doorstep the next morning.

Ответить
@endlessendless2391
@endlessendless2391 - 12.12.2023 09:38

Customer experience is not the only thing, which matters. Employee treatment also matters. Amazon is exploiting their delivery drivers through DSPs forcing them to deliver in harsh conditions , discouraging them from calling in sick, which is why nobody should buy anything from Amazon.
