Those were not govt were they? the 45/70 what were they? Who do you use for your music tracks? Thanks,T
ОтветитьAlways great! diggin the tunes.. perfect. I was supprised for the socom actually. The 45/70
Mag was fairly visible that it was hot.
The 45-70 stock has a lot of drop at the butt. It makes it a cheek slapper
ОтветитьAlways wanted to build a stubby SBR with folding stock and integral suppressed barrel in 458 socomm.
The ultimate FAFO firearm 😂
Nice work, thanks.
ОтветитьThat “vise” looks sooooooooooooo cheap. Chinesium
ОтветитьTry the 45-120 haha
ОтветитьOkay, let's see how .45-70 stacks up against the mighty .450 Marlin!
ОтветитьIf 458 socom can’t even penetrate mild steel, then why use it at all? Most rifle rounds will shred through mild steel with no problem. The 458 seems like a waste and just dumb…..
ОтветитьWhy did you modify your voice in post?
ОтветитьFor some reason I have the urge to watch....... Everybody Loves Raymond
ОтветитьWhere'd you get ahold of 300 grainers going 2300 fps out of an 18.5" barrel? I need some of those.
ОтветитьI like these videos
ОтветитьDo .458 SOCOM v. .450 Bushmaster. More valid comparison.
ОтветитьGreat vid...totally unrelated but your voice and face do not match.
ОтветитьThat is the neatest reloading bench I've ever seen....
ОтветитьShoulder firing the 45-70 is much nicer on the body. Bench for whatever reason makes it seem worse than it is.
ОтветитьWonder what one of the buffalo bore 45/70 loads would do?
ОтветитьStill being relevant after 150 years is the difference.
ОтветитьBros voice is like that dude from the Oak Ridge Boys lol
Ответить45/70 is a beast in the no -trapdoor variety.
Ответитьmaybe don't use a Harbor Freight $10.00 drill press vise and it won't crack.
ОтветитьThat 45.70 can chamber a 500 GR bullet try that.
ОтветитьEw. Disgusting Bose ad.
ОтветитьPerhaps if the vice hadn't broke, and there was no give, the round may have penetrated!
Ответить458 bent the entire plate but did not pass. Any additional tests may be skewed due to plate bend
ОтветитьThe rifles are designed for different jobs as well though. I load .458 SOCOM and I've got some bullets that are 576gr. Are there projectiles for the .45-70 in this weight?
ОтветитьNot even close but a 458 soco. With a 325 ahornady FTX will penatrate 4 milk jugs of water an uncarved pumpkin and the inch and a half thick board you put behind everything so you could capture the bullet at 50 yds. It's a beast of a cartridge it's fantastic and an AR platform
ОтветитьImpressive!
ОтветитьRay Ramano 😂
ОтветитьGreat video. Your velocity with the .45-70 indicates you were using H4198 or IMR 4198 minimum powder charges. My reload is 53.7 grains of IMR 4198 under a 300 grain Hornady HP with 2300 fps which equates to over 3500 ft.lbs. of energy.
It shoots sub MOA at 100 yards and even with a minimum starting load enough guts for anything you can hunt in North America. It would be interesting to see what a hard cast lead would do instead of the traditional cup and core bullet on steel or any other medium you could imagine. I think it would be unstoppable. Keep bringing 'em, Banana.
A FMJ of ballistic tipped bullet will work better for both rounds. Soft points are for expansion and damage to tissue.
ОтветитьChamber pressures are WAY different.
ОтветитьHaha massive bulge
ОтветитьWhat type of magazine are you using for the 458 socom?
ОтветитьYou didn’t compare mild steel to wild steel so your experiment doesn’t like, count or something.
ОтветитьYou used HP rounds on the .45-70, how would standard .45-70 rounds compare to the .458 SOCOM?
ОтветитьAlmost a DECADE at MidwayUSA? Oh my young friend... I'm glad you like them. I've loved Midway for longer than I can remember. 😊
ОтветитьMy dads favorite rifle to teach shooting with, at twelve it kicked like a mule The bruises were all earned, he called me
Old dead eye His 44magnum was almost as bad
Caldwell Lead-sled Brother.
ОтветитьCaldwell Lead-sled Brother.
ОтветитьTry the 450 Bushmaster
ОтветитьWhat range . give it some content. To close not full power to far not
ОтветитьIf it didn't break the brace it would have went thru
ОтветитьI have a Ruger No 1 in 45-70, and you will definitely feel it with "Ruger only" hot loads. I would like to see how the 45-70 does on mild steel with a 500 gr. monolithic solid and a max load of powder.
Ответитьyou got your calibers mixed up its .450 bushmaster which is the 45-70 out of a AR ........ still cant touch the hi end 45-70 loads.
ОтветитьAnyone know who makes a 45/70 that can take the hot loads? I've shot an original 1874 cavalry carbine with a drop block. It was actually pretty fun to shoot, don't know what the load was it was a long time ago.
Ответить450 bushmaster please
