I have surfed and watched surf movies since seeing Big Wednesday as a teenager in Sunny Northern Ireland. This is the most emotional video I have ever experienced, culminating in Caity’s barrel towards the end. It is reminiscent of Laird Hamilton’s millennial wave at Teahupoo in 2000, it may have been a left and an order of magnitude larger, but the scene, the water, the colour, the beauty, the majesty of the wave and nature were all faintly familiar. I have watched it 20ish times and my spine tingles and the goose bumps come every time Caitlin crushes that barrel, she has a style like nothing I have ever seen, so direct and energetic. The music adds a mystical character and everything combines for a synergy of the senses that has left me speechless. As I said to my wife last night after showing her the clip, I might as well give up watching surf videos for I will never see anything as beautiful in surf. ever again. Thank you for all involved in the production.

Surftrip drama at its finest. I was always the stoked one up early and down to check it, then back with descriptions that skirted the line between heavy embellishment and outright fiction. Eventually I blew all my credibility. Seeing the first day shore pound I thought at best they would get some good slo-mo pulling into big caverns that shut down in 30 feet. But 2/3 the way through and I even saw a cutback, and Caity's barrel (which she made, no question) would have been worth days of travel even if it was the only wave she got the whole time. You've spoiled those surfers now, from here on out they'll be chasing the dragon :)

In a period of a couple er three months of a winter on east side Oahu n north shore .. I'd get the shack time they got on a single wave .. .. .. siiiiiiiiiigh .. .. but locky fo' have da memories, aaaaah !?

Not to take away from all the incredible women surfers out there. It feels like every generation has one that has the total package. Style, speed, flow, and balls. For me it’s been Frieda Zamba, Lisa Andersen, Stephanie Gilmore... this is the Caity Simmers era.

Absolutely gives me an entire new look into my passion which is adventure motorcycle travel… I love the search/understanding of how weather impacts the wave/landscape and in particular off road travel… I will now more consciously look to travel into regions where hectic weather would have damaged the existing road network or trails to go explore ..

Being the first people to surf that spot gives you guys the naming rights for that surf spot and you just left without doing that. I would call that spot time-warp because of how long and how fast those waves were. It looked like you were in a time warp surfing those barrels just trying to stay ahead of them and not let them eat you up before you got out. LOL, I'm so jealous.

I've seen TONS of surf footage but this was like watching surfing for the first time. Absolutely !@#%$ crazy... Caity Simmers is the real deal. Soli and Timo salute you guys are crazy.

This is amazing! Wonder where this is...its not like i will ever go there. I went from healthy surfer to a massive disability at 40 years old. Health is something i took for granted...the human body is so fragile but can heal phenomenally.

I remember hearing about Caity Simmers years ago by Nathan Fletcher on how rad this young woman was already. She is the best female surfer on the planet and one of the best in general!
