Is the Arc the best Leatherman Multitool? Comparing to Wave, Charge, & other tools with @CedricAda

Just found this channel and I love it. Great content, snarky, informative, and entertaining.

This is very good content, and almost as good as the beer reviews. I will look forward to more of those which are DEFINITELY coming. In the meantime, I'll rewatch the Hopslam video for the 10th time to hold me over.

A wave with the scissors and the t slot of the surge in place of the saw and file is a much better tool. The original wave also had a really annoying habit of pinching the hell out of your hand if you slip off a bolt when using the pliers. Other than that, the wave I'd agree is one of the better tools out there.

the best Leatherman Skeletool is the best EDC tool out there. I wish they made a slightly bigger version though

I wouldn't give $50.00 for a Leatherman Arc. There are way too many better multi-tools.

My immediate answer is No. The newest Surge is better for everyday use. The only advantage of the Arc is the quality of the knive blade.

$230 for a multitool defies it's purpose unless it is indestructible. It makes even less sense if you live outside of US so no warranty for you. Not to mention that this tool costs 3X times less to manufacture. These are 3 major points which you people somehow ignore. The whole thing starts to become a fashion rather than a necessity.

To make the perfect tool make a free version of the surge but lighter

buying a tool 200+ dollars to have a tiny precision screwdriver .... na. SURGE.

The ARC has a ton of flex in it's frame.

My personal favorite Muti Tool is the Leatherman Surge simply for how over built it is with a slightly larger more robust blade. For the Surge the Wave and many other multi tools you can find an aftermarket blade in sv30 or even Damascus if that's what you want I do wish some company would make them out of sv90.

The charge also has brass washers making deployment smoother. Js

Also I contest that the Surge is the best Leatherman tool prior to the Arc, simply due to its durability and reliability versus the Wave. Been a Wave owner since 99', and I retiredc using my Wave tools simply because they weren't as tough when compared to the Surge.

It's clear that the Arc is the best multitool Leatherman makes. Just comparing on price in your opinion is it twice as good as the Wave?

I'm excited for mine. I use a wave+ as my EDC and light around the house stuff. I use a supertool 300 and Milwaukee Fastback for at work in a manufacturing facility around metal and chemicals. Have quite a few others, Free P2, Free T2, Bond, and Rebar, on top of the ST300 and Wave+. I loved the Free P2 as a ecosystem but the tools just didn't fit me very well. The ARC fits me perfect for carrying outside of my job.

I enjoyed the comments about film school preparing you for 25 years of brutal loan repayment and many dead end 8/hour jobs😂. Also pointing out the differences between the different characters in the multitool world (multiverse)

Arc is nice, but $230 nice? Not for me it isn't.

I was thinking of getting a Signal for going camping, and it just because I liked the look of the green and black variant, but I like the look of the Arc even more. 😙

And since I don’t really need these for work, I can let aesthetics play a much large role in my decision making. 😆

I prefer your rambling to others. Great video. For the other side large tools try opening them using your right hand middle finger so you don't have to flip it or change hands.
