I understood most of this - except the large combo including the trigger spell. I'm not quite sure how the doubles, quad and trigger interact.

You never go full recharge

Imagine how many more people would play this game, if the basics of "strong wands" made sense. It's irritating knowing I've had tons of failed runs largely because my setup is garbage, due to not wanting to kill myself for the 200th time testing spell combos. For a game that rewards experimentation, it sure doesn't make you want to try anything when you are 2 hours into a run.

On one hand, learning how to make these chainsaw spells lead to my first win. On the other, it feels weird to get carried by a wand. I kind of wish there were spells/modifiers that made shuffle wands more viable. I feel like now I just treat most wands as item packs that are mostly useless, rather than as wands.

I think they should significantly up the chance of shuffle wands having other perks like always cast.

This was very easy to understand. Maybe you can teach us more complex things? :D

Very clear and coherent explanation but i have just a single question, why is he wrapping the chainsaw behind the double spell? Wouldn't that have the same effect as just placing it infront of the lightning?

Just started playing this game recently, and the nerdy math BS while building wands is my least favorite part of the game.
Not because I don't enjoy it, but because I keep spending half an hour tinkering with Wands only to go into the next area and die in 10 seconds XD

wow I was just watching this for fun because I have a pretty good handle on wand crafting already, but that trick of making the wrapping chainsaw get double use of the add mana is something I never knew about. Always more to learn in this game

but adding more chainsaws is as efficient as adding more bolts to multiple their dps, espicially given the likelihood of finding more than one chainsaw per run.

you gotta use other spells in conjunction to the chainsaw (that by themselves wouldn't do much, but together with the chainsaw) to lower than recharge time and thus make wands that will make most people ask, 'what truly is a god-tier wand'.

Was just messing around with this on some wands and got a build made for proof of concept. Instantly spawned 50 exploding rocks and blew myself up in the holy mountain. I love this game. Love your explanation videos!

Honestly, my take away from this is that you can double dip spell bonuses with a single double spell, or any of its increasing siblings. I also learned that if there is a double spell but no two spells to follow it, it just wraps around to the front to double dip.
