Cut ubisoft some slack, its not like they already had all the groundwork laid and the perfect foundation of a pirate game to build onto... like black flag.

In the running for the worst game in history that's considered a "AAA" experience. 1/10 on pretty much every level, games from over a decade ago feel more advanced graphically, and scam mobile games have more gameplay to them. The majority of the other worst "AAA" games of all time were at least fun to play for how bad they were. This was one of the most boring and empty experiences ever. It's the equivalent of Sea of Thieves at launch and joining a Minecraft server without any privs to do anything.

I love how at the start of the game S&B goes on a rant about how evil capitalism is and that you are fighting for freedom against evil colonisaims. Then you crew goes and butchers civilians in town stealing their shit and harvesting natural recoruses for your own profit.

Pirate game where you cannot sword fight like a pirate. WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA? Its a LIVE SERVICE wallet raider to create value for shareholders, I will not be shocked if UBI SOFT also tries to increase player engagement by having a tie in deal with Long John Silvers. ARRRGGGG!!!!!!

The saddest thing is people still buy their games and spend money to purchase from their hollow store. Unfinished, generic, lack of innovation and misunderstanding what their gamers want despite being told numerous times and given far too many opportunities.

When SC Broodwar came out i was a fan of Blizzard.
When COD 1 came out i was a fan of Activision
And when Spinter Cell came out i was a fan of Ubisoft.

I WAS a fan of all those companies and their games.

Ubisoft higher ups loved going on vacations to Singapore and clearly put the minimalist effort into this game and the years it took to make us just wild how incompetent Ubisoft is

Why is everyone complaining about your crew’s stamina? The ship doesn’t have stamina your crew has stamina. Make grilled foods and cooked foods feed your crew and it’s like cocaine to them.

My favorite part of the pirate costume is the creases in the cheap fabric, where it was clearly folded up in its plastic packing for years.

I just don't get it. Ubisoft was already creatively bankrupt. They been recycling old assets in game after game.....and then they make a pirate game KNOWING people pretty much just wanted an updated Black Flag but they decided to not do that because reasons.

I'm just done Ubisoft anyways. Deleted all their games and the client. I will not be buying anything from them again. It's been 4 years or more I haven't bought anything from EA as well so I trash bin Ubisoft with them. Absolutely garbage company I wouldn't piss on to put out a fire.

I wouldnt say it has no soul. In many ways its actually BETTER than Black Flag, which is what everyone is comparing it to. In BF, youre stuck as Kenway, in this you at least have some character customization options, though I wish there was more, and that the character SPOKE. But yeah, theres a LOT of soul in this game, even with its glaring flaws. The surroundings are some of the best in any pirate themed game

I had to hit like, this guy just as funny as Angry Joe, but honest in his review. I agree. I was one of the OG's of the game. i been playing since the beta, sadly it was a waste of time. You forgot to mention since the last update the price of silver for keeping your company running went from 593 to 2400 and pieces of eight if you were making 90 you now make 60. Fast travel is now 600 than it was from being 500. One thing is good now though... after they raised the price they opened player chat.. LMFAOOOOO !!! You can finally talk to someone but it doesn't matter because that last update after the "Smuggle Run/La Pest" made the game less enjoyable to progress. lol

A friend that work on game industry have heard the intern story of skull and bones.

The developpers teams said : Nobody work on the game, but sometimes, a team is chosen to work on it for few month... and it's like a running gag on the developper teams, on who will be the next team to redo all the game for 3 months, and abandon it again.

It's a game that investor want to see money out of it, but developper abandon it. They know the game is shit, but want to release anyway at a date it would sell the more.
