Hello Joe!

You probably won’t see this - but I’ll try leaving this here anyway.

Instead of su!cide we use Manual reset. That silly edit beep stopped going off when we changed our words. It’s difficult enough without the editors beeping in.

Thought I’d share.

Encore. Now, this is entertainment. Whom else could be remembered for adventure and ideas worth their knowledge?
One extends the greatest gratitude where it is due and respected without equivalent. What a brilliant video and genuine choice for a topic. Well done. "

What about Avicenna who proposed that diseases were transmitted by breath, touch, dirt, etc.? He had a handle on germ theory in his Cannon of Medicine back in 1025 AD. The guys who got the Nobel Prize probably had probably heard of him.

In Hungary, we remember Ignác Semmelweis as 'the savior of mothers' because he introduced mandatory antiseptic handwash to the staff working at his maternity hospital in Budapest, thus preventing thousands of deaths caused by the infections carried by the doctors from patient to patient. It's pretty damn astonishing that nobody else would think of washing their hands between carrying out an autopsy and a qynecological examination. But hey, it was a different time, i guess.

Right when he said Ada Lovelace I remembered that she was in an episode of Doctor Who and then he said Lord Byron who’s name sounded familiar and then said that he was with Mary Shelly when Frankenstein was thought of which is also another Doctor Who episode and that he’s related to Ada. I will never be able to watch those two episodes the same way ever again!

I don't think the takeaway from this video should be that science is wrong and that we shouldn't trust science but it should be that we shouldn't put TOO much trust in current science and we should be open to testing other ideas rather than just assuming what we know now is perfect. Theory until proven law though. We shouldn't just believe in things before we have evidence.

Semmelweis “took a shoe(!)”,
thereby eliminating himself from scientific recognition of germ theory of disease…

"Ichorous exhalations" Make me think that it means sneezing or coughing or something. I might be wrong but I think ichor is a foul liquid or something along that line. So maybe he was saying saliva and snot? Which is like yeah thats right, but its really just another subset of the previous thing, not really a why.

That first doctor did prove that clean is better. He put a bowl of carbolic acid at the entrance of the ward, and made the doctors dip their hands in it/wash their hands with it, for a period of time, and the death rate dropped. Because clean hands.

The really aggro thing about ada is that everyone just fawns over how shes a waman and patriarchy and all that, its so hard to find what she actually wrote. Id like to know what her ideas actually were, and not what OUR ideas are about what she may have meant. Thats just washing over someones original ideas, using the paint of modern knowledge and ideas.

A very important reason, that so many doctors refused Semmelweis´s order to "wash" hands was due to the fact that he made them actualy disinfect their hands with very harsh chimicals, wich did irritate the skin quite badly . . . working as a nurse, even modern disinfectens do a number on your hands, but using the stuff he did was really bad ass . . . wich did not excuse an docotor who would skip his hygiene, but one can somewhat understand the reluctance . . .

Why are we censoring words like suicide and murder and kill. Censorship never helps. Why aren't we forcing algorithms to consider context? What happened to freedom of speech?

- American deception, lies, and media propaganda has no limits.... An American-Israeli agreement for the sake of America creates a sea corridor to Gaza, while Israel fires on the tents of the displaced in order to displace them via cargo ships to Europe, and also blackmails Hamas with assistance to the people of Gaza in negotiations.... This is the reality of American humanity and compassion
-Then why did America impose the closure of the Rafah land crossing between Egypt and Gaza? It is closed and there are 2,500 trucks waiting for several months to enter Gaza?
-At the beginning of the war, did not the Secretary-General of the United Nations appear at the Rafah crossing and ask Israel to allow aid to be sent in?
-Why did America allow Israel to bomb aid trucks crossing from the Rafah crossing into Gaza with American weapons?
Why does Israel allow Jordan, Egypt, the Emirates, and America to send aid by air, since the load of one plane is half the load of an aid truck, while preventing the entry of aid through the Rafah crossing, from which nothing can enter unless Israel inspects it? The answer is to starve, displace, and blackmail the people of Gaza with crumbs of aid
Didn’t America prevent the sale of weapons to countries due to suspicions of human rights violations, and is it now supplying it to Israel for free at the expense of the American people? Biden said that there are no red lines for Israel.
-Humanitarian motives, this is a weak talk and not convincing to anyone. How can the state that provides weapons and ammunition to kill civilians in Gaza be the same one that provides them with food and humanitarian aid?!
Choosing the port of Larnaca in Cyprus takes us back to the year 1982, when about 8,000 Palestinians were deported from Lebanon to Cyprus, and then to Tunisia, and the rest of the Palestinians were displaced to a number of Arab countries.
***America is committing war crimes against humanity by unlimited support for Israel with weapons to kill civilians, and also the crime of starving civilians through political pressure on Egypt and giving it promises of financial aid and loans if it closes the Rafah crossing.***America thinks itself deceiving the world by delivering aid, and at the same time it wants displacement and blackmail.
