Whoever created Helen in Charles Bonnet Syndrome really nailed some primal fear in me I never knew I had. Absolutely terrifying story. And the style of the story about Lily I have to applaud too. Recently I've been listening to and reading a lot of the archaic ghost stories of the 1800s just out of fondness for the old fashioned language and use of words now at the verge of extinction. Why it seems to make the stories even scarier it's hard to say except suggestion and implication always frightens me more than an axe to the face. I'd love to write something in that style but the bane of my creative existence - the elusive plot (despite a giant spider crouching with malignant patience in the shadows) and damned if I don't lack the vocabulary of Henry or MR James because to be able to echo that style would make me get up and dance in my unsettling herky-jerky style. But whoever wrote about the gruesome Lily at least has the potential to write a story in that subtle powerful style. Exceptional writing and as always you're truly the gangster narrator that all others would be wise to fear. And your comic timing is standup-worthy. BTW one sentence which will never leave my lips is "My ex girlfriend had a pet snake."
