Red Dead Redemption 2 Is An Absolute Nightmare - This Is Why

I've been playing 5 hours and the only thing i really feel weird about the game is the controls, i can't tell exactly why i don't like them but im 100% sure i don't like them at all, like if they are bad designed or something.

rdr 2 was undoubtedly the best game that was and will ever be made.end of story. no more arguments. stop wasting your time. blah blah blah. i don't want to hear it

To be fair... skinning a rabbit does actually work like that. Their skin is really lose for some reason.

Also, the voice acting in this game is *chef's kiss*. Everyone does a great job, but especially the guy that plays Arthur ❤

My problem with rockstar (and ubisoft) game design is the line that divides ‘roaming the world’ and ‘now you are on a mission’.

The progression in Red Dead 2 happens as a linear game, in a dimension completely detached from the sandbox world.

Exploring a place that has no mission icon is a waste of time, so the world seems frozen, held back by a checklist.

Random encounters are inconsequent and nothing you find organically impacts the story in a meaningful way.

You can buy a map to find a buried treasure, but if you go dig the same spot before buying the map you wont find anything.

I don’t think I’ll enjoy a GTA 6 without a profound change in the formula.

bro says “I did like the story” like it isn’t one of the best narratives ever told in this medium and possible ever. You have to think that different people look for different things in games. RDR2 is as close as a game could be to perfect to me because it checked all the boxes I like to see in a game

In a game with a story like this I think realism is definitely a factor that helps you feel immersed

Rdr 2 is a technical masterpiece for sure , and it's mindboggling to think of all the game mechanics and stuff........ but it's just not that fun for me, personally . I can think of over a dozen other games i've enjoyed much more than Rdr 2, and that's really what the core requirement of gaming should be, enjoyment.
I think the over emphasis on realism really hurts the game where it tries to stop being a game
but ofcourse that's subjective

Archaic mission design and shallow, clunky gameplay.

I thought RDR2 was boring as shit. What a slog to get through. I almost quit the epilogue.

I honestly believe there should have been non-lethal and stealth approach implemented into the game. Would result in interesting gameplay situations and exciting escapes from the enemy view.

The entire game all I heard was "white man bad"..

And everyone is calling it a "masterpiece" because it's large, has good graphics, and hair growth physics.
This game sucked, had no depth to the story, full of convenience and plot armor. It was horrible, but people are simple and stupid.

I like the guns :)
