Top Racing Games Coming in 2024...

I know literally no one cares, but my game (along with several others) got binned this year due to unity's ToS scandal.

I know I'm not the only one in this boat, but now there's probably going to be a game drought because everyone using unity is either abandoning their projects, or forced to start over in unreal.

Yeah, mine was always probably going to sit at the bottom of the steam page with 2 downloads after 9 months. But there were some other projects that I thought genuinely were worth playing, and now they might never come out.

Why can’t we get a racing game like fast n furious where you can have your own crew etc , customize them, have your own crib etc

Im assuming Horizon 6 isn't coming 2024, maybe 2025 at the earliest. The fact that Horizon 4 hasn't been delisted yet it seems to me a new horizon game isn't coming out anytime soon. Good. Because i wouldn't wanna see a horizon 5.2

I do not like playing games on my phone either. That is why I have a pc setup, It's for gaming. I really liked project cars 3 as well. It is fun and challenging.

None of them really appeal I am Afraid. FH6 might be OK if MS keeps it's nose out and just lets Torben get on with Directing it in a better, more FH2, style Direction, but I am not going to hold my breath on that... The rest just do not appeal I am afraid. AC2 has strong potential however if it supports modding as well as, or even better than, AC1 did!

TDU: The age rating is far too high and the Communist China setting is utterly repugnant.

AC2: Going to wait to see how well it does on the modding scene as it has some very big shoes to fill given AC1 effectively replaced GPL as the Racing Sim for Modders!

FH6: I just hope the Game actually even runs....

GTR: After the PCARS 3 fiasco I have no trust whatsoever in Ian Bell, so I expect "tap brake to drift" Garbage, and nothing even remotely resembling a Sim!

PD: Not interested in "end of the world" type Games, I find them offensive!

JDM + NR: Sorry, the whole Japanese illegal street racing and Tuner Culture leaves me cold, it just does not appeal to me, plus, Japan is just too deeply Idolatrous for me to be able to enjoy the Location, that is part of why I do not want FH6 to go to Asia, I do not want the Idolatry! I have had enough Idolatry as it is with FH5!

Wreckreation: Just looks outdated, boring and Childish! Grow up Criterion! It is not 2005 anymore! That train has sailed!

Carx: Again, that whole "underground" street racing, Tuner Culture thing just does not appeal to me.

GTA: Utter Abject Filth! I would sooner Remove my right hand than ever play a GTA Game again! A half decent Government would have banned that Series years ago!

I fucking love the aesthetic of Night-Runners, I've been following the development off and on for a while now and I'm all for it.

Solar Crown is one I've been waiting for and a type of game that I've been missing for years now.

Thanks for putting JDM on my radar, I can really see that becoming a chill game for me, and Pacific Drive looks interesting, might have to check that one out too. I love indie developers because they come up with some crazy ideas you'd never see a AAA developer attempt

I will bring up Aero GPX, it's not your wheely wheely vroom vroom game, it's a spiritual successor to f-zero X from the Brazilian legend who made spiritual successors to the early 3d sonic games. if anyone has been drawn into fzero 99, or remembers games like that - keep an eye out for that, and ballistic NG, pacer and redout 2 are still ones to try in the mean time.

You can connect your PS5 or PS4 controller to your phone and play CARX Street that way, ive been doing it and it works amazingly for the most part.

Carx street and racing master are the only racing games I play on my phone tbf I've tried a few but them two in particular feel like massive throw backs to midnight club, older nfs titles with alot of aspects and both are great bases for they have built if they come to console and pc and optimization is improved on I reckon they will probably end up creating alot of competition for newer titles of forza and nfs imo as atm they really do seem to be just putting in the bare minimum atm with alot of games

I actually have hopes on Wreckreation. Racing games these days are dominated by simcade (even the fandom are fighting over details that they'd never noticed anyway), and if not, are usually arcade, but still in realism side, with car brands and stuff, or even festival like TC Motorfest, which makes the game looks tame, heh they even seems like trying to make it like Forza Horizon, which I feels like they lack music vibes or anything, but moving on)....

The thing is, everyone have been playing safe, none trying to go out boundaries like Driver SF or Burnout. So seeing Wreckreation and Pacific Drive gives me a hope on variety
