How To Login To Instagram From Facebook

I was logged in my account i lost access to on my old phone with no service and this worked. I made a brand new facebook account and linked it to my instagram through my old phone. Then I installed Facebook on my new phone and allowed all accounts to log in with eachother. I went on Instagram and went to login screen, typed one letter on my username and it immediately popped up with facebook logo. I clicked it and was logged in. THANK GOD

This doesn’t work, as soon as I try to login using facebook and select the account it asks me for the 2factor. But I can’t do that because I didnt have an authentication app linked to it and I don’t have another device already logged in either

BLESS YOU!!!!! For this information. I just got back into my IG after being locked out as my authentication app e-mail had been deactivated from a previous job. So I had no way to get in otherwise. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! 🙏🏼

After trying this, Instagram won't accept my main Instagram account password and if I try "forgot password", I get a response saying it was sent to my mobile phone but it never comes over. :(

You saved my instagram account. We can use this method to recover backup codes of instagram. There are many people who have lost both google authenticator app and recovery passwords. I believe this is the only way to recover codes.

Does this method also work if you have Two Factor Authetication enabled for Instagram? Because my Autheticator is giving me invalid codes and my backup codes ain't working either so maybe I can use this method to get my account back...
