I'm furious, I have an Intel MacBook Pro which I love relaxing with and doing creative work using software not available on Windows and a custom build gaming PC from 2020 which I love sitting at my desk and gaming on but No Mans Sky on the M3 Max literally looks smoother and snappier than it does on my PC 😭😂 RIP my bank, I'm gonna collide my worlds when more games eventually come to Mac

Hey Andrew. Love your videos. Very well put together. Curious if you found a setting that consistently deals with the black screen bug you mentioned here in Cyberpunk 2077. I have an almost maxed out M3 Max (64GB Ram) and I'm running into that same black screen bug myself. I've tinkered with various graphics settings and can't seem to fix it. I'm running MSYNC and D3DMetal, all medium settings (many of which I've tried switching to low to fix the problem). High or low resolution mode doesn't seem to make a difference. Perhaps it's a translation issue? Any tips?

Inspired by your videos i used parrallells today and tested ac origins and lords of the fallen on my m1max. The experience was absolutely garbage. 20crashes later i quit. Never touching this nonsense again.
Please stop spreading misinformation how „well this runs windows games“… it runs a select few in ps4 quality, thats atrocious for what the gpus could do.

I have problems running games via crossover om my m3 Max. It stutters and the Sound has this wobbly effect. Can someone help :)

It would be great to test both Metro Exodus and Fort Solis which have been specifically optimized for Mac. They are excellent games with stunning visuals. They run beautifully on my M2 Pro on 1440p high settings.

I have an M3 max and installed crossover 23.6 trial to play Diablo IV through their steam app...I get an unexpected error upon starting and it's practically not possible to post anything on the CodeWeavers support page ....please help if u can ..I went through your instructions to install crossover

Hey mac hater, understand, people don't buy a mac for gaming primarily, it is mainly for material quality, design, OS, working and these tests are considered as an "extra" benefit for mac owners, stop that dumb comparing of PC vs MAC for gaming.

Hi Andrew, can you try running guild wars 2 again please on m3 max and m3 pro on world vs world where there are zerg fighting another zerg? I used to have an m1 pro base model before and running in code weavers it was really good in non-wvw maps, but during zerg vs zerg it will drop to 8-15fps and basically unplayable...now curious with the higher single core score and how this performs wit the gpk/code weavers. Willing to go back to mac if they have optimised it for wvw.

Could you do a new tour video of how to open hud to show frame rate, because now most of the games are playing through d3dmetal, not dxvk, I couldn’t use the same way in the tutorial to open hud, which is really struggle for me😢

It sucks that apple doesnt focus on gaming performance, I have a gaming pc that is aging and I don’t really want to build a new one as I prefer Mac OS overall and use my MacBook for everything else
Hopefully one day they cater to the growing demand as even this 40 core m3 max just doesn’t cut the mustard when it comes to performance per dollar, happy to pay a little more for Apple but not hand over fist for 6+ year old gaming performance

I wonder how does the M1 Max / Pro fair today? Most of the benchmarks I’m finding was tested 2 years ago upon release. But if there has been optimizations over time especially with CrossOver, how does it perform today in games?

You should add SnowRunner to the list of games tested on macOS now that it has been released for this system; it is really graphically impressive. I also think Tropico 6 and Cities: Skylines would be great games to test.
