What test would you like to see us do next? Let us know ⬇️
ОтветитьYou guys have become one of my favorite creators for great info and reviews! Keep um comin!!!
ОтветитьSo the Garmin R10 is pointless to take outdoors to a driving range, where you're going to be using range balls!
ОтветитьIt was interesting how he hadn’t read the Rapsodo stats and the other guy was quoting
ОтветитьToday the Garmin is at least $200 cheaper than the Rapsodo
ОтветитьAs of 11/26/23 the Garmin is $200.00 cheaper.
ОтветитьSeems to me these devices are not marketed for average players who use driving range for practice. Then further pricing on top for features that only for subscription
ОтветитьGreat review! Thanks for making this.
ОтветитьBought the R10 a little over a week ago based on solid reviews…wish I had seen this one before buying. I play to an 8 handicap so I’m fairly consistent with my ball strikes. My yardages are based on what I visually see at the range based in units of 5 & 10 yards since I’m estimating. This has served me well, but I was hoping to get more accurate yardages with this device. The yardages were short but decently close with my wedges, but got progressively worse as I worked my way up the bag to driver. I hit my 7 iron about 160yd, but the R10 was reading 135-140 even though I was consistently landing my ball at a flag I ranged at 158. I typically hit my driver around 260+/- which I’ve tracked with gps when walking my round, yet the R10 said I was having trouble carrying 200 and only getting 210-220 total distance. I measured and re-measured recommended and suggested distances with a measuring tape, but no improvement in accuracy was to be seen. For $600 I was losing a ton of expected accuracy both indoor on a mat and outdoor off the grass, so it was returned 2 days ago…just glad I got my money back and not store credit. However, I did order a sleeve of RCT balls on eBay for $30 that’s on it’s way based on improved accuracy reviews, so that’ll be a loss. I was never expecting pin point accuracy, but did expect decent numbers close to my estimations.
ОтветитьCan you do a video of the R10 working with the GSPro platform?
ОтветитьRapsodo tech support team is a joke. They will ignore you and the many many problems with the product. I strongly advise anyone to not buy this!
ОтветитьSorry,, newbie question, what is the big deal with the spin number in the first place? Why does it matter if it is spinning at 8k or 2k, couldn't they both carry the same distance?
ОтветитьI have been using the RCT ball in my garage and the Garmin has been horrible with correct distances. I have tried everything and my irons are hitting 30-40 yards short.
Ответитьwhat analytics are included without the paid subscription for mlm2pro?
ОтветитьWould love to see a comparison between the MLM Pro 2 and the Swing Caddie SC4.
ОтветитьI'd love to see this test redone outdoors. I don't have an indoor space and will only be utilizing a launch monitor on the range outdoor. The issue you have is that the MLM2Pro won't do spin without the special ball, which is why I won't be buying it. But I'd still love to see you do a comparison of these 2 plus the SC4 (and SC300i if you feel like it) to see who is best outdoors.
ОтветитьWould love to see you do a test with the new Swing Caddy SC4. I am looking at that as well as the two you just tested.
ОтветитьI’ve got the MLM2 Pro for a week now and we really like it. We would like to know if Rapsodo can give us the option to have instant reply for the impact vision and also the option to playback swings in slow motion.
ОтветитьDoesn’t the R10 need to be on the same plane as the hitting surface to get an accurate measurement? I see it’s like 2” lower on ground than your mat.
ОтветитьWas the r10 calibrated in your test?
ОтветитьThey say elevating the R10 to mat height improves accuracy and you have it sitting on the floor an inch low
ОтветитьPlease, put Garmin on some book, so it sits level with the hitting mat. I haven't watched till the end yet, and probably you will find out that Rapsodo is more accurate, but you have already made the No. 1 mistake with the Garmin. Shame!
ОтветитьIt would be better to do this test outside to really see the true ball flight compared to the discrepancies in each system
ОтветитьNeither are good for SPIN and SPIN is the no 2 after ball speed so no go for either IMHO unless you just want ball speed which is a good reason to have one, but that's the only reason. Only thing you can really get of any use from cheaper monitors is ball speed. The only way to get accurate numbers especially on SPIN is Bushnell / GC3 minimum, GC Quad, Trackman obviously with premium real balls not RCT/Callaway special made ones.
Ответитьplease do a comparison for the voice caddie sc4 as well. thx
ОтветитьCan you test if balls like the taylormade pix work similarly to the rpt ball?
ОтветитьSo, basically useless outdoors.
ОтветитьThat's it. Mhm. Right. Mhm. Wow. Okay. Almost 2 years. Got it. Okay. Okay. Mhm. Sure. Mhm. Mhm. Okay. Yup. Yea. Okay. Yup.
😂😂😂 bro stop wtf hahaha.
When will rapsodo be taking orders? I’ve been on the waitlist for 2 weeks.
ОтветитьWorth Selling r10 for Rapsodo? Also does Rap work on GS Pro?
ОтветитьSpin on the Rapsodo MLM2PRO only works with the spotted balls, AND you have subscribed to the $199/yr (first year free) marketing gimic. If you don't subscribe, spin is not recorded, nor do you get access to the mediocre combine or the **priveledge** of playing someone elses sim software. Thank you very much for the paperweight.
ОтветитьReview and compare the swing caddie sc4
ОтветитьGarmin spin numbers are much more accurate outdoors when using a regular ball because it has a further distance to track. Indoor, yes use the RCT.
ОтветитьHow do Apps such as shot vision and Golfboy compare to this kind of hardware launch monitor?
ОтветитьDoing these tests at a range and showing the real ball flight compared to what the monitors say would be nice. A slice vs a duck hook would be VERY clear. Even minute little fades and draws would be easy to see. Hard to tell if any of the equipment is accurate when you are just beating shots into a white sheet...
ОтветитьI can has simulator?
ОтветитьHi guys. Regarding your test between the Garmin R10 and the Rapsodo mlm2pro. Just thought I'd mention that I watched another channel talking about how to fully optimised the Garmin R10. I noticed maybe 2 things that may be causing the Garmin to be off in directional curve etc. You need to slightly move the Garmin left or right. Maybe use a string line to align parallel with the ball and intended direction. Also I noticed that the Garmin was below the mat level. So maybe try raising the Garmin up to be level with the hitting surface. Hope this helps😁.
Regards David from Perth West Australia
Can these launch monitors measure club head speed without a ball for swing speed training?
ОтветитьI want to know what tee that is. All of my local ranges are mats and you cant really use a driver very well.
ОтветитьGreat content! Does the MLM 2 Pro give any measurements or indications of club path, club face at impact, or lie angle other than using the slow-mo replay?
I'm mainly wanting to find out if I'm swinging in-to-out/out-to-in, am open/closed at impact, and if I'm toe up/down at impact.
Thanks!
When is the next Rapsodo video ?
ОтветитьWould love to see you guys use the R10 the correct way. If you look at all the set up stats you should have the R 10 at the same level as the hitting mat Garmin has that as one of their set up situation. The other things is If you back filming camera was in the same place for both units the rapsodo was more directly behind the ball the the R10.
ОтветитьGreat video guys, what distances did you have with the mlm2 pro? Unit to ball, ball to screen?
ОтветитьThanks for the review. Convinced me to go with the rapasodo
ОтветитьWe would like to thank our sponsor for this video “Rapsodo”
ОтветитьGreat test. Thanks' guys. In the middle of build a small back garden layout, and clearly from the dimensions you guys were playing with, it looks like the MLM2PRO is the one to go for. Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьI'm convinced the R10 is garbage. I bought one Day 1 when it first came out. I sold it Day 3 and bought a Skytrak. For indoor usage, it's an overglorified toy IMO. Never (or wanted to) tested it outdoors.
The MLM 2 plus does look good when using the correct ball. Just a pity it's not GS Pro compatiable.
Are there any plans to add club path, club face angle, angle of attack to the MLM2Pro metrics? Without those metrics, I think the R10 still has the upper hand.
ОтветитьOMG… you only documented 3 shots and then did an Average? That was comical. WTH…Basic math stats dudes. Everything you said went right out the window after that. Next time do 40 shots and throw out the top and bottom 3 shots in the data set. Leaving you 34 shots. You need a min sample size of 30. Also since the MLM requires a tagged ball then this is a tagged ball comparison. Also, running a radar based system in a closed space with tons of electronics can be tricky. You already had the r10 incorrectly positioned and had another electronic device in the impact area. Finally, you guys put 100% faith in the entry level GC as your source of absolute truth. You should have used the industry standard Trackman and the Quad GC as dual control sources. You do know that those $25,000 plus devices frequently produce variations in data right?
ОтветитьNot impressed guys. Appreciate the effort but come on. You misinterpreted the Garmin statement about the RCT ball. And you guys missed the big gap between these products. The Rap still does not provide club data. i.e. Face to path, club face position at impact… 3.5 deg right, and actual attack angle. (Not descent) These metrics are essential for swing/practice improvements. You guys are also making too much about spin access. 1 degree is NOT huge….you guys need help. Contact me. I will give you real physics and data support plus foundational level setting.
