How to Fix IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL Stop Code? [6 Solutions]

i have bought an IBM System X server and i get this error when loading the Bootable USB with Server 2022. if the discs are not setup in raid i dont get the BS, but then ofc i cant see the discs.. as soon as i set my discs up in raid 5 i can no longer reach the installation before BS "storport.sys DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS PR EQUAL" please, do you have any advice?

My Pc is newly upgrade, and the stop code error " IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL " always pop up randomly. Like 5 days gap. What seems to be the problem in my PC? (The sfc scan found a corrupt files and fixed it) it should be ok then?

The corrupt registry files one found a few and corrected them... then it did it again. I am absolutely stumped and have done everything from this video. Hardware is fine. No clue, any help?

my cpu was just overheating, maybe just consider to clean your pc, lower the clock speed or CAUTION: adjust the cpu temperature emergency power off threshold (the last one could damage your cpu, if done wrong)

I love how these system repair videos always instruct people to run programs in Windows on a system that won't launch into Windows because it stops on the BSOD. How exactly do you run a Windows program when Windows won't boot?

I used the first part of this, to try and fix my pc randomly turning off (no bsod) and after using the first thing it cause this code bsod to appear. I've since used the recovery to get back to a stable date. I still have the random turn offs. And when I say random I mean random. Seems like it will work for months, or sometimes randomly shut off 2 times in one day.

I can't run chkdsk because it says " the volume is in use by another process" ! I have also tried all the other methods and I still get BOD IRQL thing With failed storport sys ! But not as much as I did! Help! Cheers

Mine says What failed : Storport. Sys ! When it boots up I can't get anything to open up and this all started after a windows 10 update! Not sure if it's coincidence but was fine before, although my PC is quite old!

I just tried install a new operating system and it keeps giving me this error on the loading process. With your options I have tried most of them which I can and it still posting the same error ⚠️.

1: clean motherboard
2: Replace with new RAM (latecy should match for dual or four stick
3: Fresh install Windows system

Updating the BIOS sorted me out :)

Mine turned out to be a bad monitor (Driver compatibility I assume). Switched monitors, bam, no more problem. Also, check your HDMI cable.

im kidna woried recently today this bsod happened, and i don't think its hardware its something has to do with drivers...
cause i was kinda stupid and was installing and uninstalling AMD Custom made drivers that crashed my PC and kept restarting then did DDU and installed official, i think i messed something up with my windows or drivers or amd drivers
what should i do?

Guys I have figured it out. If your PC is continuously restarting and giving different error codes every time not giving you even 5seconds on welcome screen then your RAM is at fault. Simply swipe your current RAM with a new one. I had 2+2GB DDR3 RAM and I swapped both of them with one 8GB stick. As an added measure I cleaned all fans & heat-sinks (including Graphic card’s heat sink & SMPS) and applied thermal paste again. Problem solved. My old RAM was 10yrs old.

I've been facing the same error. Apparently the AMD GPU driver (amdkmpfd.sys) is causing the error. To fix the issue I had to uninstall the driver using DDU and install the one available in the laptop official support site. Is there a way to update the driver and not run into BSOD? Thanks.
