This video was filmed in the last summer, hence the low prices. The prices have skyrocketed since then. Now, you can buy cherry tomatoes at 10 euros per kilo in Lidl shops here in Slovakia. They cost twice as much as in this video.

Those alcohol prices are way cheaper than Lidl in Ireland, minimum €2 per can of beer usually, spirits would be €20+/700ml bottle. Wine is approx €7-10.

Man you keep reading all the wrong tickets 😂 the ticket is above the item in the majority of all lidl stores worldwide. It confuses UK customers so much but it's not hard to read a ticket. People will read the jam price for Nutella for example.

Super cheap comparing the prices Lidl in Finland🇫🇮🛒🛍, i hardly ever go there to do my shopping, they products are not that good quality and lidl at least here in Finland has quite small selection of different products😝😫👎

That last part. We used to pay 2 cents for a 12 oz and 3 cents on 16 oz RC colas on deposit for the glass pop bottles in the early 1960's. Us kids use to hunt these down in trashcans and on vacant lots where the teens used pop as mixers at their booze parties as the used beer and liquor bottles were worthless. Candy bars and popsicles were 5 cents with some pieces a penny and pop was 7 cents a bottle at that time. Candy money. In SoCal, ba-by!

These prices must be cause their country isn’t under an inflation. Makes me sad.

We have two Aldi and one lidl here.
We love Aldi's low prices.
They are fighting to the death, merely a mile apart.
Aldi's changed their hours. Opened early and practically gave away their milk and eggs for months.
Lidl is their competition. Not Walmart.
The new Aldi's by Walmart could care less.
Charged higher prices than the old one next to lidl.
They even admitted so to me.

The first time I saw Lidl was in the film Run Lola Run. When I went to Germany in 2017, I bought a few things there.

My daughter shops at the Lidl down the street from her flat in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. I got used to the prices being at the top among other features while I was there last September. Lidl has delicious Dinkel bread for a reasonable price you should try next time! In my opinion, Lidl is more like Aldi here in California than Aldi in Berlin. While I was in Berlin I had to go check out the Aldi to compare. I prefer the Aldi in California. I took some video I can share with you Mike. Please let me know where to send it. Thanks!

German in Venice, I shop @Lidl US on the East Coast. The bakery is awesome and it is cheaper than Whole Paycheck. I like the dry goods specials. Lidl is like Ikea, in that you go in with a shopping list and you tell yourself that's the only items you will buy, but you buy more after shopping there. Wow, sangria and a veggie curls peeler. The very thing.

Greatings from Serbia. We have LIDL here, almost 5 years, over 50 stores across Serbia. Mostly huge supermarkets. I do not like to shop in LIDL, reason is simple. Quality of food is lower in comparation with other stores in Serbia, second reason, foreign goods and foreign brands are dominant. LIDL is little bit cheaper then other chains and very popular amongst people in Serbia.

I'd love to see more about the quality of the items at low prices. For example, in the USA we have less expensive items at Aldi, Lidel, etc but they fail in quality by having a lot of chemicals, additives, preservatives, and just unnecessary ingredients. Do the less expensive items like that cake you showed us in this video fail in quality as well? Or do you get better quality food for a less expensive price there too? I think this type of comparison would be eye opening for a lot of Americans who consider it "normal" to have so many unnecessary ingredients in our food. I didn't realize it wasn't normal until I lived in Vienna for a while.


Also, I'm disturbed by the color and consistency of that peanut butter. 😂

I am European but living in Canada, I have to say Germany is much cheaper then USA or Canada, that's good, I know Lidl from my country (Czech rep)
