The weird change of tone from the betrayal to the rescued settlement didnt really seem out of place with his single minded desire to rescue everyone.

my biggest shame is that i played this game way to long for the flaws it has, i liked that one harbor dlc cause it was like the game should be overall, many options to influence the story and interesting fractions. Nuka world left me speechless and since then i didnt bought no new game of bethesda.

At this point I had expected you to fail this quest but seeing as how Preston will blindly follow you regardless of your morality and never becomes hostile just makes this seem kind of dumb.

Bugthesda really should have made the consequences of betraying the Minutemen more realistic.

Everything going on in this scene is just so quintessential Fallout 4 lol, the goofy outfits, the old time music, the deafening generator, all together with the serious relationship altering conversation juxtaposed immediately after by the clipping audio of generic radiant quest completion banter chef kiss It’s like modern art.

People bitch so much about these games but they are so fun. Like 5% of the gamers out there though...hoo boy. They are artistic little guys that scream for realism and consequences even though most people play games to escape. One of these days Bethesda should just say f it and make a game with all the features they say they want. Realistic carry weights, so like 70 pounds max for everyone but the most insanely strong people. The need to sleep 8 hours a night or your stats immediately start to progressively degrade. Need to eat a certain amount of the right food or your stats start to degrade. Wounds slow you down, get very quickly worse over time and can lead to permanent stat reduction. Killing the wrong person: instant game loss. Talking smack to a faction leader: instant death. Walking around the wilderness at night: total darkness but for a shitty headlamp that loses power in like 2 hours. Cave exploration: 75% of caves inaccessible due to water levels. Ammo should have weight. You should immediately get tired in combat and any fight with more than two enemies: instant death. Boy that sounds like so much fun, says like 5% of the population, all the artistic ones at least.

He's basically a dirty politician. He says "we help" when in reality it's just you doing all the dirty work while they enjoy the spoils

At least figure out how not to include that noise in your video. It's embarassing

So in my opinion I think that there should be a minutemen ending, a BOS ending, an institute ending, and a railroad ending. The minutemen ending is basically an all out war that ends with an invasion of the park. The BOS ending is where the BOS eliminate the raider gangs and take control of the research center in the world of refreshment location, the railroad liberates nuka world and makes a safe haven for synths using the security bots at the galactic zone. And the institute also seeks the nuka world technology, but intends to also expand their synth experiments outside the commonwealth, they covertly infiltrate the raider gangs and slaves there.

In my playthrough I sided with the institute, became a raider and made preston not only forgive me but be my gay bitch

My game bugged or a new update made the game better but when I was part of nuka worlds raiders all my settlement quests were considered as fails and everytime I talked to Preston he would ask if I would be willing to kill the raiders. He wouldn’t be available as a companion and even the castle becomes a non settlement.

The part that disappointed me of Nuka World was this.
I literally became a raider but im still general of the minutemen? I didn't have to deal with a coup? Mutiny? Getting exiled? Anything? Hope there's a mod that fixes that.

If any modder sees this.
I know it could be possible considering there is mods that make you enemy of all factions or friends with all like subversion. So pleeeeeeaseee, I beg of you.

This was executed so poorly. Which is my viewpoint on so much of this game.

Preston really is the Delphine of Fallout 4.
Both of them claim you're their leader, and then get mad at you and refuse you things when you do something that falls out of THEIR interests, all while barking orders at you.
I'm sorry, I thought I was YOUR boss?

Losing your allegiance to the Minutemen and Preston is like getting rid of two cold sores, it’s an amazing feeling.

This just points out the fundamental flaws. Preston being essential because the game shoehorns the minutemen as being the ending if you don’t want to side with the other factions.

FO4 pretty much forces you to play as a good guy, which is my usual place style, but you look at something like New Vegas where you could really play it how you wanted.

It feels like fallout four goes too far into forcing you to be an evil character, but doesn’t let the Minutemen: your faction, stand by you against the Raiders.

Actually this makes me think how a lot of fallout 4's characters have good ideas but they are badly written and throw at this game and fact they almost don't have weight or sense of being on the history.
