Man I loved astral chain so much it brings back such good memories it’s an old game I rlly loved playing, even tho it’s a few years old it still it still feels like a classic to me.

I know it already happened but this game should won GOTY in 2019. If not, then should of been one of the contenders for GOTY. Also Devil May Cry 5 should of been up there too

This is... definitely a game as far as I can tell. It took me a good year to play through it all the way - it's not that I didn't like the game, just whenever I sat down to play it I would immediately get distracted by another game. The presentation is absolutely exquisite, let's just get that out of the way - the visuals would be pretty damn great even if it were on PS4 or something but the Switch? Wow. Seriously impressive stuff (although I find that the Astral Plain is pretty visually uninteresting and I wish we didn't spend so much time there). The soundtrack is also pretty good - besides this track I find that a lot of the music doesn't really stick in your mind, but it all works in the moment. The story is, y'know, fine, and the characters are fairly well-performed on the whole. The gameplay is also pretty good - the basic concept of controlling two characters at once is definitely great fun, although I find that some Legions are just better than others (try playing the game with just Arrow Legion when the others aren't required and you'll know what hell is). Combat is fun and refreshingly complex, I was still finding new moves and stuff right till the end. My biggest issue with the game is probably its pacing and structure - it starts to feel suuuper formulaic only a couple of chapters in, and whenever the game does try to break up the monotony, like in the infamous File 8, it really suffers.

With all the praise I just gave it, I feel like I should like this game more than I do and yet ultimately, it doesn't really inspire any strong feelings in me at all. Great aesthetic design and an interesting world for sure, but beyond that I just didn't really connect with this one. Still good for sure, and I'll probably replay it eventually, but just not much more than okay in my opinion.

I didn't like the game so much the first time because of the gameplay that I found a little repetitive and the story that I found very generic, but the visuals and ost of the game are just awesome

I swear there is a song very similar in one of the Housexy albums around 2006 era of of House music. Best era for clubbing after the 80's. This song is a perfect example of Ministry of Sound, Main room, Saturday night 2006-2007.
