Please do negative harmony :)
ОтветитьCurious what all of you think or prefer - if adding harmony lines, would you emphasize the lead line at all with higher volume and/or different presence in the mix?
ОтветитьThis is amazing Myles. Of course once you record this with your natural voice instead of autotune and hopefully invite some friends to sing the other voices so you don't have to harmonise with yourself, the result will be great.
ОтветитьYour Sub V video covers half a semester of Harmony in 5 minutes, and this covers the bulk of Arranging 2 in 10 minutes, AND it's super clear (albeit requires some prior knowledge). Glad to see you're back and have more videos I can refer people to.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьAmazing!! Loved the exotic colors in between : )
ОтветитьExcellent tuto really ! Clear and concise, covering most situations encountered. Very valuable, thank you.
ОтветитьBest tutorial
ОтветитьDUDE! This is an excellent video! I've been reading up on all of this and your video is so much clearer and makes so much more sense. Great job. I'm telling everyone about your channel!
ОтветитьTry different voices that will sound good
ОтветитьHave to check my ears now...
ОтветитьLove every note of your composition. Spot on!!!
ОтветитьThis is a perfect example of theory overriding musicality. Yes, theoretically you can put those notes together, but it sounds awful! Queen would NEVER make harmonies like this (nor would anyone who wants an audience outside of a lecture theatre). If nothing else, this video is a great illustration of the difference between an academic musician, and an artist. Ew.
ОтветитьWow! This video is amazing! The way you use subtle musical queues to anticipate an example or short playback is great, it felt like I was being rewarded for listening whenever I knew a sample was about to be played before you said you'd play it! Also, the general background audio is made to perfectly blend back and forth between playing samples and simply underscoring your speech. I love it!
ОтветитьI would use diminished chords with approach notes.
ОтветитьDude I just found you because of the new video and then fell in love with the old ones. 100% rooting for you and the future of this channel. <3
ОтветитьLol this horrible and cool at the same time. That's why you don't follow rules
ОтветитьThe beauty of melodyne, thanks for making this!!
ОтветитьThanks but some of it sounds really muddy and almost robotic. Many of the best harmonies are just one accompanying melody. Not 3 plus. So just simplifying it in areas would eliminate the rough spots.
ОтветитьInteresting video, would've enjoyed it more without the irritating beat in the background though.
ОтветитьThank you, thank you and thank you again, bro. You and guys like you who teach and explain deserve more attention. I am very grateful to you
Ответитьthank you so much for this content!!!!
Ответитьthe drum loop during the explanation is really distracting .. don't know why that's necessary.
ОтветитьGood job you turned Bohemian Rhapsody into Hide and Seek lol
ОтветитьI am in love with the way that you taught this.
The visual, and audio cues were super informative and entertaining.
Great video and useful technique. Don't know if works best with this song.
ОтветитьI love how your educational videos are works of art themselves.
ОтветитьI loooove the huge energy instilled in this video, very efficient process!
ОтветитьI'm intrigued by the substantial depth of this material. A book with comparable insights broadened my intellectual scope. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
ОтветитьOh mama you're back!
ОтветитьI really appreciate this video
ОтветитьVery interesting tips. To my ears, "a - gain" approach notes would sound even better replacing the Am7b5 with Bbdim.
ОтветитьCan you do a video on how the eagles or Van Halen does vocal harmony
Ответитьreally cool video, awesome theory explanations but those harmonies sound weird af and it seems like its just one of the low harmonies throwing it off
Ответить<3
ОтветитьWow!
ОтветитьThe presentation on this video is immaculate.
ОтветитьI didn't know summoning underworldly creature would be this detailed.
ОтветитьThis underlying mechanical rhythm is very distracting, and annoying, if one want to really follow what you are saying. Sorry to say that.
Ответитьouch, sounds terrible with the band.
Ответить"Use your ears" should probably be illustrated a lot more. A lot.
ОтветитьThe way you’re underlining the whole video with that beat is brilliant! ❤ It‘s so well done and catches my attention so much, that I amost get distracted from the actual information 🧠 I‘d love the beat at half the volume 😅 Thanks for the amazing video. I‘ll definitively watch this a couple of times
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьHey, man, I thought it was very cool that the sound effects were played on time with the beat in the background
ОтветитьPitch shifted Freddie is nightmare fuel!
ОтветитьFunny, in composition class there was a commandment that thou shall not use parallel motion. Of course rules are meant to be broken, but I do think some pedal tones or variations could add interest, but a cool idea and technique to share. Cheers.
ОтветитьAI plus pure musical theory on a masterpiece like this is nothing but a perversion of real analog recorded music.
Ответитьthis is some high quality content. appreciate the effort and the little details
