My brother would do this to me & my friends all the time when we were kids😂
ОтветитьThis is the definition of 'horror' for live streamers.
ОтветитьThe first time I heard this song back in the 80s, I assumed, just like many others, the singer was a black older man with a lot of soul in his voice. But of course, Rick was a young redhead guy. Loved him since!!!
ОтветитьI just got rick rolled! don't watch the beginning of the video
ОтветитьI love Rick and I love his song Never gonna give you up. It is very catching song. When I first heard his song on the radio I taught it was a black guy that song it😂😂😂 I love him.
ОтветитьI remember very well when I was looking for a video in 2016 On my sister PC I tried to repeat 4-6 clicks on the link but the song that still appeared i gave up and in the 2nd grade of high school I just found out that Are memes 😂
ОтветитьI love this history lmaooo! In 2007 I was just starting high school and my youth group leader told us about this. I didn’t think it was funny at all and thought she was weird. Now, 15 years later I know I was just WAY too young to appreciate the joke and reference! BECAUSE THIS IS COMEDY GOLD!!!❤
ОтветитьHe hasn't capitalised? It's his video that people linked to, and the video is approaching 1.5 billion views. That is something
ОтветитьThis is hilarious
ОтветитьRickrolling someone = fooling someone😂 in the song of never gonna give you up😂
ОтветитьThank you for this video. I finally learned the details of this phenomenon.
ОтветитьThe background about the song tsef is wrong. FIrst of all, it was inspired by an argument Pete Waterman had with his girlfriend, one of those, "I"m never speaking to you again" rows. After the call, Rick told him, "You're never gonna give her up." And that's when inspiration struck for Waterman, who immediately wrote the song. SAW had Rick lay down the vocals for it.
Once they put all of the song together Stock & Aitken did NOT think they had a hit. One minute into it, they didn't like the track at all, and they ddin't change their mind by the end. They actually put the recording on a shelf, and we never would have heard it if Waterman hadn't given a sample of the song to industry magazine, MixMag. The response was overwhelming and positive. An indie radio station picked up the sample, looped it into a single, and listeners went nuts over it.
That's when Stock & Aitken realized that the song could be a hit, and committed to the full single. Even then, they didn't realize how big it would be.
NASA should put it in earth data for aliens XD
ОтветитьDamn ypu didnt rick roll us once?
ОтветитьI am ASHAMED of people for liking "gayroll"..... Rick Astley and all of his fans are GAYS who can burn in Hell
ОтветитьLove this song
ОтветитьI actually think it’s a good song
ОтветитьBest song ever recorded I love it
Ответитьnever gonna stop
ОтветитьHe was from 1987 my favvo artist
Ответитьand now he's never gonna stop
ОтветитьNever gonna give you up!
ОтветитьThx for the great explanation. Happy for Rick Astley.❤ the song but they used to kill it tho.
ОтветитьThey'll wack 😴 🎉
ОтветитьWith AC/DC being my favorite band for 45 years you can pretty much say I prefer hard rock. That being said, I loved this song and Rick is an incredible talent. I love watching him sing and dance. He was fascinating to me then, still is.
Ответитьrick was a stud, he wouldnt get offended
ОтветитьDid anyone realise that we actually got rickrolled?
Ответитьthis whole thing puts smile in my face...i hope rick is just fine...please be patient rick, this is actually a positive thing.
ОтветитьI had a chance to Rick roll POTUS over the summer but didn't take it, L on me
ОтветитьThis is still a benevolent meme. Making fun but not in a bad way. You can think it as magician pulling a rabbit from hat but now comes a music video. These type subtle memes are the best.
ОтветитьIm probably in the minority here, but I first discovered the song from the family guy episode in 2006 or 07.
ОтветитьThank you for your thorough explanation.
ОтветитьNever heard of Rickrolling till now but do remember this song the first time around.
ОтветитьThis guy DESERVES to be Knighted... or at least made an O.B.E
ОтветитьRick Astley is just a very cool nice guy 👍
ОтветитьGenXer here... I loved Rickrolling. Such a silly, collective joke. And a great song. Rick Astley was such a good sport. I miss 2008.
ОтветитьImagine being the guy that posted the original Rick-Roll, and seeing what it has become now
ОтветитьRick is just a good dude. Could you imagine if they rolled Kanye instead? Yerolling…
ОтветитьLoved that song. And, still do !!.❤😊 2023
ОтветитьThe man is a living LEGEND ❤
ОтветитьWhenever someone Rickrolls me, I smile.
Ответитьhate to break it to you, but everyone hates this song. That's why it was a meme.
ОтветитьEven pokemon did it!
