Can you amaige if there was a cure for deaf and hard of hearing people to hear again without aids to were every hearing specialist will be out of business
ОтветитьDoctors are only taught what they learn and nothing else.
ОтветитьAlthough the video has quality the title is misleading. They never did "find" the cure. They just saw some positive results they couldn't replicate.
ОтветитьWhy not replace the hearing hair cells
ОтветитьTq .from 5 years iam facing hearing problem..🙄i can hear sound but i cant understand what people saying..i mean i cant hear words clearly...iam partially deaf pls help me🥹🥹
ОтветитьHas Frequency Therapeutics Inc. been investigated for what appears to be a total sham? Their stock was at $13 on October 18, 2019. It hit $54 on February 12, 2021. By April 1, 2021 it had crashed to 9 bucks and today it's worth less that a buck at 0.68 per share. Sounds like a mini-Theranos to me. I'd like to know who sunk their money into this sham and who bought mansions with that money. And along the way did they receive any grants from this sham?
ОтветитьI want a cure for my reverse slope hearing loss.
ОтветитьPara um bom vendedor de aparelhos este vídeo é uma excelente notícia...não é dr?
ОтветитьI think this drug works and there was some other reason for the trial failure.
Ответитьlet them get back what they lost because they are either idiots or they did it on purpose .
ОтветитьMaybe some insight into why freq theraputics have dropped everything....$$$ You dont disrupt such a huge status quo that easily : "[220+ Pages Latest Report] According to a market research study published by Custom Market Insights, the demand analysis of the Global Hearing Aids Market size & share revenue was valued at approximately USD 10.23 Billion in 2021 and is expected to reach USD 11.5 billion in 2022 and is expected to reach around USD 17.68 Billion by 2030, at a CAGR of 4.9% between 2022 and 2030. The key market players listed in the report with their sales, revenues and strategies are GN Store Nord A/S, Starkey, MED-EL, Widex USA, Inc., Sivantos Pte LTD, Phonak, William Demant Holding A/S, Medtronic, Benson Hearing, and others"
ОтветитьSir Namaskar 🙏 .I am Ajay from Delhi 🇮🇳. India. My daughter Ananya 7years old has profound loss of both ears upto 90%. Is there any medicine ???
ОтветитьWe have treatment for life threating aliments but we can't treat deafness.. Deafness is around for in human history for very long period of time but the efforts to completely cure it is still not visible.. I want to ask why
ОтветитьLet me tell you something, when we talk about hearing loss treatment, we are talking about an idea that worths hundreds of billions dollars. So, it is not so easy to reach that goal, but scientists will find it out in future. (Maybe after 15-20 years or more 😅😢)
ОтветитьI think it's just business. Nobody really ever believed that FX would be a miracle cure. We patients all knew that it could be a very good cure, but not perfect. It turned out to be far from perfect, FX probably just improves your hearing only a little bit, and you probably need lots and lots of injections to achieve results. And it's not very cheap either, it's not like buying groceries.
So, the company probably received an offer from a big pharma company, and agreed to discontinue development and treatment, so that bigger companies can keep selling hearing aids, and they got some cash in return.
But the treatment does sound promising. You need lots of injections done right, and over longer periods of time, and unfortunately, they're not even selling it anymore.
I read the study and what happened is that the growth of hairs that came with the treatment was destroyed when the patient was stressed. Basically, the hairs that grew back thanks to FX-322 died easily when exposed to louder noises. That was the main problem, and it was normal. The hairs grown artificially are not nearly as resilient as the natural ones. A lot of them grow, but many don't function properly, and many die easily. So you need more and more injections, until you achieve some growth. And even when you achieve said growth, you won't be able to hear as if your ears are fresh new. But you would be able to tell some new sounds apart, you would feel much more connected to the world, and have more of an active life.
Frequency Therapeutics believed that this treatment wasn't worth it more than it believed it doesn't work. They didn't understand how good their cure could be even if the results or limited. Or maybe they just believed that people are cheap and wouldn't pay a lot for this cure anyway.
Hello Dr. Cliff and team! I really would like to thank you for your videos and material. 6 months ago I experienced severe tinnitus in my left ear, right after a heavy sinus infection. I went to my ENT who said I had mod to severe hearing loss in both ears, and said it was most likely NIHL, which is weird as I am not really exposed to loud noises. Being in my 50's and having no prior hearing issues this has severely depressed me. I am still trying to piece this together, but I have to say your channel and videos have given me hope and perspective. I am really hoping for some type of treatment. There is a Harvard stem cell study that sounds promising. Also a question...is there a danger to your brain or nerves from over-isolating against general noise with earplugs? I heard this may be detrimental in the long term. Again ty for your work and info, it has really helped. Cheers.
**correction it wasn't a stem cell study, it is a molecular treatment and Dr. Cliff covered it in an exciting new video.
I lost a lot of money with frequency Therapeutics... I closed my position. I still have a position with Decibels Therapeutics. Would you make a video about this company please? What's your opinion about Decibels Therapeutics?
ОтветитьI love how my tinnitus became severe exactly 2 weeks after the cure failed
this ringing is insane and the new hyperacusis which i never have ever had in my whole life is making it better,
i hope by 2050 or something we could atleast restore hearing, I wish to live a silent life in my 50s at that time
👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
ОтветитьSad to hear this. Thanks for the update Cliff.
ОтветитьI didn't know they were also curtailing 345. That's bad news.
I have an acquaintance who was in the precursor 322 trials, and the tinnitus in his treated ear was completely resolved.
Companies that snuff out research like this that can improves peoples lives for the better for the sake of profit need be tried for crimes against humanity.
ОтветитьCome on man. They were told to shut it down. Blackrock and Vanguard own the most shares.
Hearing Aid industry is way to profitable and you sell them right?
Sir my hearing loss in right sight how can I cure and hearing back😢😢😢
ОтветитьCan you make a video about your toughts on the Australian company which had a succes trials on curing hearing loss and tinnitus ?
ОтветитьTHIS IS CRAP! It's a fact that the founders of FT were the same scientists who back in 2011 restored hearing in deafened mice by 40 to 60%. It's unthinkable that after 12 years and over 250 million in invested capital and grants from the DOD that both drugs failed after multiple trials.
ОтветитьI find this interesting. I did follow in with hearing aids. Maybe this is a one off. But my hearing has gotten worse with them. Not sure what to do at this point.
Ответитьthis is ridiculous , the first results were extremally promising and then sudden it became a great failure !!?? and why shut both ? isn't fx 345 was more promising ?
some times i hope there will be a viral pandemic cause hearing loss then you will see a billions will be spent on this project and not feeling alone
You are a participant in the crime and you are the media shield for failure👎
ОтветитьAre there low EMF hearing aid available?
ОтветитьI lost a bunch of money when I invested in Frequency Therapeutics!!
Ответитьdude they snuffed it so bad 🥲
ОтветитьDo you think the Silicon bank crisis and this have something in common?
ОтветитьI think more study should go into the placebo effect I think it works to some extent.
ОтветитьGood news for hearing aid companies
ОтветитьFREQ CEO should be jailed for fraud.
ОтветитьAny update on spi-1005??
ОтветитьSpi-1005 nhpn-1010
ОтветитьBut what do you do if you have hypercusis? How do you amplify frequencies that you can no longer hear without amplifying ordinary sounds that already bother, hurt and further harm hearing?
ОтветитьThe cure will be ready in 5-15 years more and more people have hearing loss the world need it
Ответитьsad what a disappointment
ОтветитьThe hearing aid industry probably paid them off to cancel the projects. Sad how money and greed rules the world.
ОтветитьThis is really bad news for me who waited for hearing loss cure. I stopped believing in God since I got this as I haven't done anything bad or thought of bad things for anybody in my life. This depression is killing me everyday. Nobody understands whoever around me what's going on with me. Everybody feels I am dumb. This World doesn't care what you r going through even if u say it. There are so bad people who r having no problem then why chose me? So i can die early?
ОтветитьCliff, you bad boy. How dare you give people hope, LOL.
Ultimately, it's still up to the individual to take responsibility for their own healthcare, not necessarily just listening to information found on the internet. While there was some promise from Frequency Therapeutics, waiting for the miracle cure and ignoring the solutions currently available is a mistake, as you indicated towards the end of the video. Hearing aids and other current solutions (cochlear implants, surgical solutions for conductive losses) can still provide some help, even if they aren't a full-blown cure.
People should go with what DOES work for now while waiting and hoping for a real cure, and they should wait until it's available.
Slightly off-topic, but why do we humans need the ability to hear frequencies between 20 Hz and 120 Hz — frequencies you would hear much better from a good-quality subwoofer than from an ordinary speaker — when just like all of the frequencies between 12 kHz and 20 kHz, they’re not critical for speech? Why would the ability to hear low frequencies not critical for speech be any more important for daily living than the ability to hear high frequencies not critical for speech is? Both of those abilities are absolutely vital for full enjoyment of high-quality audio with very good bass extension, boosted “sub-bass” and very good treble extension, but neither of those abilities are absolutely vital for spoken communication, so again, why would the ability to hear frequencies between 20 Hz and 120 Hz be any more important for daily living — without the high-quality audio involved at any point! — than the ability to hear frequencies between 12 kHz and 20 kHz is?
ОтветитьI’m certain molecular therapy will be a thing one day. This is just another failure that companies like frequency will learn from. Let’s just hope it isn’t another 2 decades!
I have normal hearing by the way. I just love my loud music and don’t wanna kick myself in the foot later on knowing I will never hear the same again 🙂.
For those suffering, please don’t say to yourself there will never be a cure, because these people are smart as anything, and they aren’t going to give up!🤞
Sir please urgently research on sensorial hearing loss cure during 2023.And released Medicine for hearing loss cure.
ОтветитьSo...the cure was not found, it just didn't work. I enjoy your videos, and it isn't up to your standards to have an innacurate title like that. I had not seen your previous videos on this research, and the idea that a cure had been found - even if it had been lost somehow - gave me false hope that there was something that simply needed to be redone.
ОтветитьWhat's your opinion of growth factors? Over the last few years there's been a lot of attention towards platelet-rich plasma and related growth factors. PRP has been shown to be an effective alternative to steroid shots for sudden sensorineural hearing loss. I've known of one doctor in South Korea that is a huge advocate for it and has even posted supposed results of people that had hearing restored a year or so after, some of which to the degree of around 20 decibels at some frequencies, even reaching lower frequencies. Platelet-rich plasma is supposedly really sticky and has been said to be able to stay in the cochlea for a long period of time. Individually, the growth factors in platelet-rich plasma, such as IGF-1, have shown to be effective at treating sudden sensorineural hearing loss as well, one study even suggesting that people who had hearing loss for 10-11 months were capable of partial or complete regeneration. There's no publications that suggest that growth factors can reverse hearing loss that occurred later in time, but the publications that I have read have suggested that at least IGF-1 can induce stereocilia repair and proliferation (their phrasing) and repair of ribbon-synapse, and maybe even proliferation of new support cells (which is now believed to potentially cause a chain reaction of inducing proliferation of stereocilia). The science surrounding this stuff has been very encouraging to read for me, but also a bit scary because IGF-1 long-term overuse has the potential of leading to cancer or diabetes if the IGF-1 doesn't come from the patient themselves. IGF-1 is already FDA approved for other purposes, but there hasn't been any clinical trials in America that would directly encourage its use even for SSHL sufferers to my knowledge.
If the lower dosages are possibly as safe as those publications seem to suggest, would you think that growth factors could also stimulate the progenitor cells and/or treat someone who has had hearing loss older than a year? As far as I know, there are a few clinical trials that focus on BDNF, so there seems to be some interest in growth factors, but nothing towards IGF-1 or FGF.
