Thanks Stefan. After seeing this, I went out and purchased this. A couple issues. It does not seem to work well in an effect loop. But maybe I just don’t have the right amp. Sound quality also seems to be very dependent on the pickups of the guitar. Also, the dotted eighth delay does not work. It just creates a straight delay. Other things I’m still trying to figure out. On the plus side it sounds great when dialed in and going straight into the input of a clean amp.
ОтветитьI'm laid on my couch, and I'm a little baked, for pain reasons, but nevertheless just chillin listening to music, once you started dabblingbin the delay and e dome settings I was drifting away nicely, as a huge fan of ambient, that was hauntingly beautiful. You have 150% sold me on buying this pedal. I actually wanted it as an accompaniment for a Boss SY200 synth pedal. Because I want to recreate the phatt synth pad that goes with the bassline under the solo of Comfortably Numb, as I play it live in my Duo. But this will definitely find a place in my studio for guitars.
ОтветитьHow to change delay sounds from rythem to lead
ОтветитьA great demo, enjoyable and informative. The playing perfectly showcases the pedal. Thanks
ОтветитьBeautiful and inspiring as always. Between this and Keeley Parallax?
ОтветитьI think the only thing I wish it had was a way to toggle presets with my foot. lol.
I’ll be using this for a mini board so a midi switcher wasn’t in the picture. 😆
Amazing pedal either way!
Best demo of this pedal by far. Thank you!
ОтветитьAm completely at a loss of words, thee best in-depth pedal review I've seen, no typical overly long jams, no monolog-y 10 minute speech, just straight up playing with superb examples relative to the effect. I myself sing an play bass in a death metal band but will definately be adding this to my board for some home experimental sounds, muchos gracias for again one helluva sweet dive into this awesome pedal, you got yourself another subscriber! A few questions... how does the stereo routing work? Can you have a single input with 2 stereo outs? Are the delay/reverb algorithms assignable to each output? Is there a dual mono option? Horns up man keep rockin!! \m/
ОтветитьIs it possible to scroll presets with the two switches ?
ОтветитьHi! Thanks for your very musical demo! I am a bass player but I confess I love delay... perhaps you have an advice 😅? I like tape and bucket brigade delays but I fear with too dark delay I will sound muddy.
ОтветитьTunings? I need tunings?!!!
ОтветитьThat synth jam was absolutely beautiful! I wasn’t expecting that, but then again anything you play hits me right in the feels, we need your music on Spotify!!
ОтветитьI've had one for a few weeks now. Really enjoying the versatility. This is the first pedal I've bothered to spend the time to create presets. That's thirty five years of stubbornly refusing to do more than twist knobs on any pedal I owned. What a fool I've been.
ОтветитьWhat settings are you running on the IR-200? Sounds phenomenal!
ОтветитьI know it's an oldie now but would love to see you do Source Audio Nemesis. You bring such a beautiful and unique approach to your demos. Always a treat.
ОтветитьDude, this is the best demo of this pedal out there! Well done my friend, well done!
ОтветитьOne of my favorite pedals of all time. Great demo. 🙏🏽
ОтветитьGreat demo! I’m looking at this pedal for subtle applications and because of the options, did you enjoy the overall sound? Some forums said they are very digital and sterile sounding
ОтветитьThis might need to be the upgrade to my immerse mk ii (that l never planned on upgrading)
ОтветитьI still think the best shimmer i have ever heard is on the digitech supernatural, but that is an amazing pedal
Ответить👍💥
ОтветитьWant this badly. But I've read that the tap tempo button can be tempermental. Can you use the Source Audio external tap tempo switch with the Collider?
ОтветитьI mentioned in a comment years ago that i would love to hear you demo the Collider. I'm going to take credit for planting the subliminal seed 😅
It was worth the wait, you nailed it as always 👏
Great demo of this pedal. I bought mine brand new from Sweetwater back in March 2021. Would it be possible to have these presets uploaded to the Neuro Presets share community? Thank you very much for such a beautiful demo of this pedal!!
ОтветитьOne thing I really love about the Collider is that it can be a dual reverb or dual delay engine and it can do anything from "simple" spring or plate style reverb sounds of the 50s and 60s, Edge or classic Gilmour type stacked delay sounds, but also freakishly big stereo spaces and has expression control.
Considering the prices of buying a dual reverb or a dual delay pedal, it's actually one of the cheapest time-based effects units in terms of the power and options it offers.
I liked the synth jam, could you upload the preset in the cloud, Stefan?
Awesome demo!
ОтветитьNice music making and collisions Mr. Fast
Ответить@sourceaudioeffects @thepedalzone can we get all these awesome presets uploaded to the neuro community?
ОтветитьI’ve had this pedal for a long time but this video reminded me that I need to get back to experimenting with it. I tend to set and forget.
ОтветитьHa! I put the Collider in your head.
ОтветитьOh ! and you're also right, the only annoyance i find with their pedals are the midi sockets on the sides which are space consuming on the board. Else than that, they're just perfect !
ОтветитьI just want to add that the Neuro app has been a real grand slam for me. This editor is so amazing, it let's you unleash so much potential you wouldn't believe. I have their Ventris reverb which is totally gorgeous, Nemesis delay and the EQ2. I can tweak and program them altogether in such an efficient and beautiful way. The pedals have also a lot more great features under the hood to dive in when you use the app. And since the audio quality is so consistent, you just can't resist these pedals. It's a shame they are so underrated and off the radar, the reason i guess it took me just too long to get to them. Ventris was the last of all the midi stereo reverb available i tried ! And finally, there was my solution. Stefan, you once again created a beautiful vid where the pedal expresses itself trough you. I tell myself i can achieve the same with my Ventris and Nemesis or else, i would have to get a Collider. Thanks again !
ОтветитьThank you for this beautiful demo, Stefan! I was lucky enough to win a Collider in a giveaway from CME during lockdown in 2020, but seeing you put it through its paces makes me realize I’ve barely scratched the surface of what this device is capable of.
Would you consider publishing and sharing the presets for all the sounds you created in the Neuro Editor? I’d love to try some of these out!
Best demo of this pedal I’ve ever heard and seen. Thanks! ❤
ОтветитьThe presets? Where I can find them?
Ответитьgreat video.! this one or avalance run v2?
ОтветитьOhhh Stefan, just when I’m happy with my pedalboard you gotta put up another killer video that makes me want another pedal and change things up!! haha no really I’ve been eyeing this pedal for long time now and you’ve showcased it well;) Cheers!!
ОтветитьThis pedal is worth buying just for the E-Dome mode alone. Amazingly beautiful sounding reverb. After I heard it, I thought: Why the hell is everyone obsessed with BigSky? Collider sounds cleaner and more spacious!
Collider stand in end of my ambient pedalboard: after loopers, modulations, several reverbs, delays and a preamp. And it turns any audio material into a divine choir. Although essentially I use one E-dome + Analog Delay preset. But even within one preset there is a whole abyss of sound.
But one cannot fail to note the disadvantages. I can't seem to figure out how to tap-tempo on this pedal. He's too sensitive. It's very difficult to set the right tempo. There is also a problem with the application on the laptop. Every time I connect the pedal to my laptop and turn on the Neuro, my presets are reset and I have to configure them again.
Thank God that for the third time I saved all the presets and now I’m loading them from the cloud. Also, the shimmer mode is not the most beautiful in my opinion. After the shimmer in GFI Skylar, I don't want to listen to any other shimmer.
Still, this is the most fantastic sounding pedal I've ever owned.
Stefan, thank you. As always, you play not only the guitar but also the strings of my soul.
I am speechless. This is a beautiful demo. Thanks for checking out the Collider, Stefan. We really appreciate it.
ОтветитьLovely demo Stefan, as always! I think my only issue with pedals like this is that the the knobs don't always reflect what the actual settings are. My brain struggles with pedals like that and it's why I'm looking to replace my Walrus D1 and R1.
ОтветитьUsually I’m thanking you for turning me on to new pedal but now I just want to say welcome to the club. This hasn’t left my board since I bought. Such a lovely pedal and the interface gets more intuitive the more you use it. I’ll also second what others have said, only shimmer reverb I’ve ever fully loved.
ОтветитьAlways love your videos and playing, you seem genuinely happy to be making music. I would love to see what you would do with nemesis, with its helix and pitch algorithms, I feel like you would have a blast with those. Great video and thank you.
ОтветитьListening to your demos while at work, here to enjoy the music above all😊
ОтветитьYou had me at swell. What an incredible sounding and well designed pedal. As always your playing is sublime and beautifully highlights the pedal's capabilities. Brilliant.
ОтветитьPlease do a Ventris demo Stephan.
ОтветитьGreat demo! I've got the Ventris and I love it. I'm considering the Nemesis but I'm wondering if I should just go Collider and save some board space.
ОтветитьThis was my favorite combo verb and delay pedal and I'm so sad I sold it, will get another soon
Ответитьsubscribed for synth jam. its worth it and relevant.
